This is Starr here to blow your minds with an awesome Nigerian cuisine, you'll need to try this out🤤.
For my Non-Nigerian Hivers, anytime you find yourself in Nigeria or at a Nigerian Restaurant, be sure to try this and thank me Later. Took time out with love to prepare this delicacy and tweaked it a wee abit.
🥁Listen up, The recipe you're about to behold is a healing one, a recipe that can tame even the wildest of hearts, okay am exaggerating a wee bit🤣
INGREDIENTS:
🐟Cat fish (wash the catfish with warm water & lemon to remove the slime. Ensure to remove the grills in the fish head)
🍖Goat meat (or any meat of your choice)
🍤Fresh Shrimps
🐌Periwinkle (properly washed & disk like dirt removed)
🐡Dried fish (banga)
🦐Crayfish (handful)
🥔Blended fresh or dry cocoyam (as thickner)
🌶🌶Hot Peppers
🌶Sliced Onions
🥜Ground Uziza seeds (it has great aroma)
🍃Uziza leaves
🥄Palm oil
🍶Knorr Cubes and Salt
HOW TO PREPARE : STEP BY STEP PROCESS
Wash the goat meat and bring to boil, add onions & pinch of salt to infuse inside meat while cooking.
Wash the dried fish with salt (don't soak in hot water or you'll lose it's flavour) and add to the same pot with 2/3 blended fresh hot pepper.
- After 15minutes, Remove goat meat & set aside in a bowl
Steam the cat fish with remaining hot pepper for 10minutes, Season with salt and knorr.
Remove the steamed cat fish from the pot and pour the cooked goat meat into the fish stock. Add the Blended crayfish & 2 soup spoon of red palm oil and boil for 10minutes.
Then add the washed shrimps. Cover the pot and boil for 5minutes.
Add ground fresh or dry cocoyam power.
- 1 tablespoon at a time so you don't over thicken the soup, Allow everything to boil for 5minutes.
Add cleaned periwinkles.
Add the fresh uziza leaves Boil for 3-5minutes.
Gently place the steamed cat fish

This almost looks like a meat soup, which we often eat in Hungary. I like it with "Erős Pista". This is a spicy paprika paste, like a chilli sauce. Do you like spicy soups?
