Es el único teatro que tiene su fábrica, dentro, donde se elaboran trajes, vestuario de artistas, pelucas, cortinas, etc., igualmente la escenografía (Como dato importante, les cuento que para conocer estos talleres, también se ofrecen visitas guiadas.) Trabajan muchísimas personas, dictan talleres de producción teatral escenográfica, salas de ensayo, hay un comedor para los empleados y las oficinas administrativas.

Curiosities

Este edificio es obra de los arquitectos Francesco Tamburini, Víctor Meano y Jules Dormal, a quienes, por cierto, la vida no les alcanzó para ver culminada la gran obra.
En la parte baja de la sala de conciertos, se pueden ver unos palcos que tienen la particularidad de estar cerrados con una reja. Estos fueron construidos, pensando en las viudas de la época y que, como eran de la nobleza, debían guardar su duelo por al menos dos años. Entonces, cuando ellas querían disfrutar de una obra, entraban por un pasadizo especial con su vestido negro y se sentaban a ver el acto en esos palcos enrejados. En las fotos los podrán detallar.

In the lower part of the concert hall, you can see some boxes that have the particularity of being closed with a fence. These were built, thinking of the widows of the time and that, as they were of the nobility, they had to keep their mourning for at least two years. Then, when they wanted to enjoy a play, they entered through a special passageway with their black dress and sat down to watch the act in these latticed boxes. Entre las curiosidades encontradas en los salones del teatro, hay un gran sofá, que se utilizaba para la visita del novio a la casa. A cada lado estaban los amantes y en el centro se sentaban los padres de la novia. (Asuntos de la alta sociedad de antaño).
Finalmente, el Teatro Colón fue reinaugurado para el Bicentenario en 2010. Tiene capacidad para unas 2800 personas, y unas 500 de pie, si fuera necesario.

Las cúpulas son hermosas, sus pinturas, que con el tiempo se fueron deteriorando, han sido restauradas, pero puestas en el lienzo pegado a la misma, así no se va a dañar nuevamente. Igualmente, algunas lámparas eran tan pesadas que solo las bajaban una vez al año

La verdad es que en un solo post, no se podrían describir los detalles que esconde este hermoso teatro.
