With the "technique" of the users...

... Killing the Hive blockchain blooms into artwork.

I used to write about the lack of interaction on the Hive blockchain, but now I just sit back and watch the show.

This blockchain is an impressive production, but it lacks soul, because almost everyone is focusing on their own posts and on the ROI.

99.99% content creators, 0.01% content consumers.

As I said before, this blockchain is doomed by its own users.
And I do not care if you call me a "complainer", because this is the truth. This is not a complaining, but the truth. Just look around!

I see a lot of people are doing giveaways, but most of them are ignored. I saw 5 days old giveaways literally without any upvotes and comments. Literally zero interaction.

And what ruins the whole thing more is the automatic upvotes. There are little to no incentive to do manual curation. And many people are not in the mood of manual curation. They try to make a passive income, so they earn Hive literally without doing anything.

Putting effort and time to commenting and upvoting is an essential part of Hive blogging for me. It takes a bit of time but is so worthwhile. Connections are everything. 🙏

You are amongst the few. More people should think like this.

So you feel frustration and anger because people don't comply with your definition of good content. You deemed whole thing useless and spread the FUD just because it doesn't fulfill your expectations of decentralised communities? Just STFU you childish ignorant! I see more of your rambling than any real content...

Do you want the truth? This blockchain has the most soul in the entire cryptosphere and is more engaging users than most of coins being pure speculation.

So you feel frustration and anger because people don't comply with your definition of good content.

Who said that? I do not. Actually there are a lot of good content here. The problem is the lack of interaction. The lack of real content consumers. Just look around. There are a lot of posts with 1-2 comments, and most of those are bot comments. There are also lot of posts without any comments. What is a good content for, if there are no one there to consume it? If you post something on the Hive blockchain, you surely do not post it only to yourself, but to some kind of audience, right?

You misunderstood my post. We are talking about two different things.

Just STFU you childish ignorant!

As Buster Scruggs used to say: "Sir, it seems that you are no better a judge of human beings than you are a specimen of one".

But I am sure that all of this hostality comes from you from the misunderstanding. Right?

I got carried away. Sorry for that, however, no misunderstanding on my side. I see plenty of content creators with interaction here. Read between the lines...

Did you propose any solution? Did you create any engagement-boosting initiative? What did you do to change diagnosed problem?

There are no consumers on Hive. We are all prosumers. What qould you expect? 90% of "interaction" in Web 2.0 is either conflict, hating bullshit or empty praising of content creator idols... Do you perceive it as value? Whould you like to be patted for a good post? If it moves something in me then I comment, then it's real.

Did you propose any solution? Did you create any engagement-boosting initiative? What did you do to change diagnosed problem?

Yes. I started to interact more, and reward good interactions with various tokens.

For example with !PIZZA.

If everyone would do this or something similar, then Hive would thrive.

Even though, what is the goal of this sort of post just before HF 25 which aims to tackle exactly this issue? As I said in my edited comment above. People comment when they feel to and then its genuine interaction. Web 2.0 is full of spam and pseudospam.

Maybe I am too disappointed after seeing the same situation on the Steem/Hive blockchain for almost 4 years (since 2017.05.17).

But I am glad that they try to do something about it after almost half a decade.

I'm not all super-positive-only about Hive too, it's toxic attitude IMO. But just complaining without constructive critics make me feel I want to react.

We are dealing here with very experimental attitude towards systems in general. And we are (still) few years ahead of our times. Let it grow and mature. In general this place makes me feel excited like nothing else online.

One more time, sorry for my attack, it was dispensable.

Interesting post @xplosive, I guess we all have a different experience on the platform. Yes I have had posts where the engagement has been less than desirable, but I had other posts that have had a tonne of engagement.

I have found it is important to find your niche and post within your niche, then you will get the engagement you are after.

As we all know this platform is made up of people, people are imperfect, therefore this platform is imperfect, but we are all on here doing the best we can and contributing value in the best way we know.

Thanks for sharing your views, it is important for us all to be present to each other's experiences so that we can contribute to making it a great one.

I guess we all have a different experience on the platform.

Not so different, because this is not just/only my experience.
This is the experience for the most of the people.

I have found it is important to find your niche and post within your niche, then you will get the engagement you are after.

Then most of the people do not have their niche.

Either way, have some !PIZZA.

Nowadays I am trying to reward good interaction with various tokens. Maybe if more people would do this, the situation would change. I am also waiting for the HF25 to see if it will bring any difference or not.

Yes I am excited about HF25 too... that said I am excited about a lot on this platform and in this community at the moment. Keep positive @xplovise, be the engagement you want to see. You got me engaged and talking, so you must be doing something right!!!!!! 👍

Here’s more lack of interaction for you.

There is heaps of interaction on Hive. I comment and get replies all the time.

You’ve got 11 comments on this post. What are you complaining about?

I am not complaining, but stating a fact. Look around. I am not talking just/only about my posts, but about the Hive blockchain in general. Many posts do not have real, human (or any) comments. Nowadays the average number of comments per post is 2-3, and most of them are bot comments. Often even the giveaways are ignored/missed.

I would like to encourage interaction, so have some !PIZZA.

I can't see these bot comments you are talking about. How did you figure out it sums up to majority?
