As for the confusion...
I think that this is due to the fact that most people are used to doing a single mission but having several steps in completing.
I’ll do my best to explain but feel free to ask as many times as you like until you get the idea figured out!
Yes. Quality content invites quality comments and that is actually what most of the missions are about! Other than that there is the RankUP (or comment ranking as we call it!) mission!
Each mission can be completed separately (only 1 mission per. post) and must be reported back to the most recent @Comet.Ranker post within the comments in the following format. 👇
Depending on the mission you opted for make use of the appropriate mission identifier (think of this as an easy way for the #CometCrew to see the mission reports in the feed.) Select 1 of these red emojis depending on the mission you completed:
👉 ⭕️ ❗️ ❓ (if you commented)
👉 🔺 (if you comment ranked)
What follows is a link to the post that you completed the mission. (This way it can be verified.)
And also including a little about the post, the author, or perhaps why you commented or what you decided to say along with a tag to the author is often helpful and encouraging to the person you engaged with! (But that part isn’t a requirement... this is really just a pro tip.)
And walla! You have reported a Comet Mission! ☄️
It’s not to difficult and when it click it usually CLICKS if you know what I mean! 🙂
But yeah!
The main thing... there is the Comet Mission... and then there is the Report back to @Comet.Ranker HQ.

I do recommend we find a way to communicate this in a more easier to understand fashion. I think the hardest part to understand is how to report and where.
Hahaha! It’s all good! You know... I really struggled to break this down as simply as I could... The #CometWeek White Paper was a labour of love that lasted over a month and probably took on many forms by its 5th or 6th edit!
When I was finished writing it I knew that there was still going to be miss-understanding around it... and I decided that would be ok.
What I really wanted was for people to genuinely read and understand why comments and a friendly Hive were/are so important to all of our success here.
It’s not just about participation and getting reams of people to sign up and complete missions... I really want people to understand why this is important and what’s truly at stake.
I wanted to know who the people were that actually cared about a long term vision for Hive and the well-being of each and every person here.
Our social environment matters... and how we treat our own matters as well!
Making it actual work to join the #CometCrew... well! I think that matters somehow!
So thank you for taking the time and putting the brain juice into understanding what this is about!

Well, I appreciate it. The effort showed. I read it all, and it was written well and your point and passion were clear as day.
This for sure is a good thing and I will be posting about it Monday in an update about my new website. I am hoping if things work out with the geek coding peeps and their Gods that @comet.ranker might be able to play a role in the engagement of the users of it.

Not quite. Firstly... remember that you can only report 1 mission per. post. (So only 1 red mission emoji should be used per. report.)
Can you do all of the above and comment multiple times on a post or comment? Certainly! But it only counts for 1 mission.
Secondly. You must report back to the most recent @comet.ranker post (unless #CometWeek is in full swing! Then you would report to the most recent post with “HQ” in the title.
As well... please don’t forget. By reporting the mission back to @Comet.Ranker you are in effect highlighting that authors content. Good quality content deserves good quality comments right? So writing a little something about the author, the content your highlighting, your comment, or why you commented is especially recommended.
You might have noticed... there’s the ❤️ mission category... this is only unlocked periodically for exceptional effort in the comments (and at the #CometCrews discretion) and extra always goes a long way towards exceptional.

I completely understand about the quality and love given to comments.
The example I used was just a typical exchange between @gentleshaid and I. Now, you want to talk about leaving quality comments, now that guy, he leaves some ❤️.
Hahaha! These are all things I LOVE to hear! And worry not! I think that counteracting the unfriendliness on Hive is mission critical to all of us succeeding and winning here on Hive! This is mission critical and I have all the patience in the world for everyone who’s showing genuine interest in @comet.ranker like you are! Thank you, honestly, for taking the time to understand the ins and outs of this initiative.
I should also mention... the Target ⭕️ Mission. Lots of people miss it! The ⭕️ Target post is the most current post that’s been reblogged by @Comet.Ranker! All one must do is... well comment on that post and then report back to @Comet.Ranker! Easy peezy! ☄️
