I've had to answer those questions and similar countless times from my Hive mentees. Some do complain bitterly and even withdraw but with time they come back.

The simple truth is that many come here with an entitlement mentality. They feel they should be rewarded maybe because of the way we marketed the blockchain to them. However, it doesn't change the truth that if they spent the time they do on Hive on web2 social media, they would have earned nothing as well.

Also, the mindset of these "complaining users" is that of short-term benefit. They want to reap before sowing, instead of looking out for ways to help in the building of the community. The truth is that when a user makes an effort to contribute, such user cannot be left unnoticed.

A change of mindset is needed as well as out approach of marketing the blockchain.
