Joining the Community on Peakd

in #hive5 years ago

So I have to admit that I haven't been following all the latest news about the whole Justin Sun/TRON situation, but what I have seen was discouraging enough for me to want nothing to do with Steemit or Steem as a whole. Sadly that put me out of the community for a while. I was able to be encouraged to come back into the decentralized network thanks to posts on Twitter by @nathanmars who is a big proponent of decentralized tech on there. It was him announcing the new changes for Hive integration and the hardfork that made me want to come back. That, and seeing Hive overtake Steem in price is encouraging for all of us. I hope to be a valuable member of the community here.

That being said, what do I plan to contribute here? I have a background in video creation and music, so I don't have the greatest skillset to grow the platform, but I can do some nice things when it comes to encouraging my audience. I can also promote the platform to my 96k followers on Tiktok, which will hopefully start growing the platform for the masses. I do believe that bringing Peakd to the mainstream is possible, but only if we all come together and work to make it happen. I believe that Justin and his puppets have made a very big mistake in underestimating the power of the community that we built, first on STEEM, and now here on the Hive platform. We will not be shaken, but will rise from the ashes of the hostile takeover and, like the phoenixes of old will soar higher and stronger in this, the Hive Era. We will show Justin just how strong the concept that Steem was built on truly is, and how he, nor any other businessman, will ever overcome it.

By the way, if you can spare a coin for your Witcher, as the saying goes, I do appreciate any help in the form of upvotes. I thank you for the welcoming and open viewpoints you will bring to this conversation, and I hope to see you again soon!
