Celebrating 7 years on Hive: A new chapter

Hivers and Troublemakers!

We’re thrilled to celebrate over seven years as proud members of the Hive Community! Our journey began back in 2017, during the ICO boom. Amid countless whitepapers full of ideas but lacking real community or practical use cases, Hive stood out. It all started when @katerinaramm tagged us in a Twitter post featuring an article she wrote about our music on her Hive (then Steemit) blog. We were flattered by her kind words, but even more intrigued by the community she introduced us to. That marked the beginning of a 7+ year adventure—a rollercoaster ride through bull and bear markets, an attempted hostile takeover, the rise of dApps, and the much-needed purge of upvote bots. Through it all, Hive has proven to be more than just a project with bold claims—it’s a living, breathing community that has delivered on its promises and continues to thrive.

While we’ve been part of Hive for years, we admit we haven’t always been as active as we’d like. Life on the road from 2018 to 2019 had us touring nearly nonstop for ten months. Then, the pandemic derailed our plans and forced us to reevaluate. Over the past three years, we’ve been in constant motion, arriving at the end of 2024 utterly exhausted and in dire need of a reset. And that’s where we find ourselves now.

But let us assure you—this is not a negative! It’s an exciting time for us. We’re standing on the edge of a new era, ready to focus on creating something extraordinary: a new show built around a deeply detailed story-album concept. This idea took root during the pandemic, but we didn’t yet have the clarity to bring it to life. Now, with early partners, investors, and a story we feel compelled to tell, we’re ready to move forward. A key part of this journey will be understanding the role Hive can play in our future.

We’re incredibly proud to be part of this community, and we know Hive could play an even more significant role in what we build next. To do so, we need to strengthen our connection with the incredible sub-communities that have blossomed here. The Hive universe is rich with creativity, and we’ve barely scratched the surface.
