Celebrating 7 Years on the Blockchain: Thank You for the Journey! 🎉

I just got a notification today that marks a big milestone—it’s been seven years since I started this journey on the blockchain. Back in early 2018, I joined Steem, just a couple of months after diving into crypto in November 2017. It’s wild to think about how much has changed since then.

The move from Steem to Hive was a big transition, but this community has remained constant. I’ve always appreciated how this space allows people to share, create, and connect without the gatekeeping you see on centralized platforms. Being part of something that aligns with those values has been incredibly rewarding.

I want to thank everyone who’s followed along, supported my content, and shared their thoughts and stories. Whether you’ve been here from the early days or just recently connected, you’ve made this space what it is for me. Being part of a community that values creativity, innovation, and collaboration has been a privilege.

Looking back, I can see how much I’ve grown, not just in terms of knowledge about crypto and decentralization but also as a person. It’s a reminder of how important it is to stick with things and stay consistent. I want to start making more videos and aim to do one this weekend on my new crypto security procedures and cybersecurity in general. I still can't believe I've made over 500 videos and 900 posts on Steem and now Hive.

Here’s to more years of building, growing, and being part of this incredible community. Thanks for being part of the journey.

Thanks,
Scott

Congrats on the anniversary. You count as an OG around here. We've seen a lot happen in that time and we're still going. I have lost trust in centralised platforms and am happier here. I also found your post on Mastodon that I follow various people on.

Hive five!

Such a small world eh! Thanks mate I really appreciate that. I'd like to think I made a big contribution to the education and guides on here for Hive and otherwise as well as educating people on blockchain social and what makes a good platform like Hive. Glad to be back, I got to catch up!

Happy Hive anniversary! I watched your video from a few days ago regarding Solana transactions. That doesn't look good at all.

Thanks for watching, yeah it's definitely concerning

Congratulations Scott!

I've been following your video production journey for a very long time and I've learned a lot from you in terms of lighting, audio, camera angles and gear. Because of that I got into your content and have now learned a bunch about decentralization and freedom tech.

Very happy for this milestone. Thanks for the inspiration and I hope to chat with you more on these amazing communication and value transfer rails that can't be shit down.

That really makes me happy to see that other people are learning from what I'm doing not only for tech and crypto but for content creation too! Cheers mate

Hey Scott, happy anniversary!
I hope to see more of your content soon, we have all grown and I am happy to see that hive can also serve as a meeting point :)

Good to see you back. Haven't seen you in awhile.

I think for now I am officially back!

That's great to hear. Do you think you will start back up on detailing crypto social media platforms?

I will have to see how the space is first. Right now I'm just taking topics as they come, this weekend I will share my new cybersecurity and crypto security tips for holding crypto like whales. Properly securing the seedphrase to mitigate all contingencies etc with three metal cards only containing part of the seedphrase so someone can't just break into your safe and get it for example.

Nice!
There are a handful of new happenings in crypto social but overall HIVE is still the top platform at the moment.

I always felt it was, it was the highest rank on my decentralization matrix if you remember, it's the best we have.

Yeah, I remember that. I can't remember if you ever got on DeSo but I guess the guy who started that got attacked by the SEC. So right now it's sort of a ghost ship.
The Arena is heating up.

Basically it is primarily the AVAX community. The X Factor with that one is they have "stages" where you can have a voice chat and you can tip in there to all the people in there so people will make it rain. Avax, Arena, Nochill, and COQ Inu primarily gets tipped.

The data isn't on chain. Its mainly the wallet service and people mainly loging in through their X accounts.

Cheers mate!
