Hive recap of 2025 and plan for 2026.
So a year has been passed and very specifically when I am going to plan for the future and check what we have already achieved this year, then we need to go back and see what was our goals for the year, so I started digging back and tried to find back. looking for Dec 2024 - Jan 2025 post to find out what goals , I had set up for the year 2025. In this search, I found something very interesting, it is not something that I did not know, but something I have forgotten, and I guess it is time to rethink and move ahead.
This screenshot told me that I was out from for almost the whole year of 2024, My last post in 2024 was in Jan 7 , 2024 and my first post in Hive is in Jan 1 ,2025 and i.e more precisely, my HPUD, milestome and the kind of goals post for 2025. This post mentioned that why I was away from Hive at 2024, and what were my plans were for 2025 and to be honest, it do not mentioned any HP goals, it did not mentioned any kind of Hive goals. Actually it mentioned something as follows.
I guess, I will focus on learning more technical stuff this year so that I can have more paying job but with all the job cut I am not sure if I stick to my current job that I am sure not going to change for at least next 2-3 years.(as client will remain with this stack for minimum of next 2-3 year and even if it migrate, atleast it need us to migrate.) I personally do not want to stick to old technology stack in name of job security and will be focusing on new skill development.
To be honest, I dis follow up this plan and I guessed I burned out in studying too much with my job and gave up. This is one of the reasons that I stopped posting and stopped spending much time in Hive after the last week of the June 2025. Unfortunately, the courses I need to complete in July to October 31 remained unfinished and I turned to Hive to entertain myself after a failed study break.
I have still no idea, what I will be going to do, I have 10 more days in January 2026, to think of re registration, put some more zeal and move ahead again.
So to be honest, whatever Hive goal , I will be writing down are actually true for my today thinking at might change drastically in next 15 days.

Overall, in the recap of last year, it look like, I am able to add close to 11K HP (as my HP power will cross 39K after Jan HPUD 2026), Look like inline with the above screenshot, as it might not captured the "staking APR" of the Hive power that is now crossed 3% yearly.
I have written 205 post, that mark my attendance above 56% , I guess that is number that Hive wahles might agree that I was not "milking" their reward pool or maybe they want further 10% reduction in it to stay below 50%?
I am confused between the content creator tag vs blogger tag as I share much of my content as my opinion, learnings and observation from the platform and real life experiences. In the recent years, I guess, I get more mature and trying to be driven more by facts instead of what I feel and what feel good.
So honestly, Hive in current state cannot be my serious backup plan though it can be my my "serious" entertainment platform where I can explore some little fun and earnings in comfort of my home.
Hive power plan.
As I earlier mentioned these Hive goals are not getting engraved in stone for this year, but I like to end the year 2026 at 50K Hive power. Unfortunately, the hard fork 28 hit the curation income hard. Even with increase in HP, I observe my curation rewards decreased, I do not have exact numbers but I my observation feel it like, they are hit by minimum of 20%. So this put off a good amount of passive income generation by just owning Hive.
Splinterland's Plan.
I can proudly say this is the game that actually onboarded me to Hive, kept in Hive and keep attracting. Though I started playing the game but I can say in current scenario, I am not earning from game, but I am spending in the game by spending money on the cards. But all the fundings for my active gameplay come from the "passive" income generated by this game. I generate income from my Node license (that generate vouchers +SPS.) , SPS stake that again generate vouchers and SPS and Land , which give me DEC after selling the produce of land for DEC. This DEC fund for my Splinterland's card, Hive for powering up and I do save a part of this DEC for taking part in the future Splinterland's event. This ecosystem, I guess keep me most busy in Hive as i love playing Splinterland's and all of the battle played in Splinterland's is by myself with no bot usage.
Almost close to 400K SPS in my main account, I guess, I will buy more SPS from this DEC but not before , I get sight of 50K HP before the end of year 2026.
Arcadecolony Plan.
I see potential on the Arcadecolony, specially on the "Stakehouse den" games, though ironically, I love playing moonkarts there. I am actually not agressive for buying COLONY tokens but I do re invest my game income fully in the platform and occasionally, I divert my Splinterland's passive income to this game. My goal is simple here, to get the 1 million Colony token first and will be putting some money in buying SCRIPT token, SCRIPT is cheap now if you observe that it is treated equivalent of 1 USD for nay purchase from the game shop.
I also feel, that game approach of not developing the internal market for FUEL (used for racing in moonkarts) and Hot Sauce (used for bets in stakehouse den) is actually sabotaging it's own progress.
Personal plans.
I am not putting Hive as primary for me, my personal plan remains the same as it was in start of the year 2024 but instead of going more tech, I got more interested in equity markets, researching them and investing in them. I am happy till now I have made some little gains and profit in the market and I guess this will continue.
But lot of changes after 2024 and I am wondering to commit myself in developing something, even for me only or for fun as chatgpt make development easy (atleast youtube experts claim). I am actually not getting the right start because I do love solving the problem and brainstorming them for days. I do not give so easily on problem and do try all kind of workaround and alternatives that I can use.
I wish Happy new year in advance, though as of now, I have planned my HPUD and milestone achievement for that day.

I think it's best to invested in what you are comfortable with and believe in. I think that is better than just throwing things at random. I also agree that I have a soft spot for Splinterlands as that the thing that onboarded me to Hive as well.
To be honest, A tough year ahead. !PIZZA
