Favourite Comment Friday - What's Been Your Favourite Comment of the Week?

Hey Hive folk, do you know what? It's come around again. Yes, it's that time of the week when I shine a spotlight on my favourite Hive comment or reply that I have come across during the past week. The comment might have appeared on one of my posts or I may have come across it on someone else's, it doesn't matter. The most important thing is that the comment or reply is awesome in some way.

I decided to start this project almost three months ago as some of the comments and replies that I encounter during my Hive walkarounds really are very impressive and lack the attention they deserve. I'm sure that you too have also come across comments or replies that have stood out in some way.

It would be really great if you Hive peeps would also think about joining in with this initiative, by doing so you would be helping to spread some love around the community.

So let's have no more hesitation, for this week's favourite comment I am giving the very highly coveted crown to @ironshield for a comment he made a few days ago on a post published by @antisocialist. If you are not aware of who @antisocialist is or the type of content he publishes you should really consider checking his blog out if you want learn about what is really happening in our world. They're often short posts and memes but my word do they pack a punch.

The post can be found here - https://peakd.com/hive-177800/@antisocialist/not-my-meme-789#@ironshield/re-alohaed-2025122t1550166z

Anyway here is the winning comment @ironshield left on that post.

I was absolutely fascinated by the comment when I read it. I had no idea precinct delegates even existed let alone know what they actually do. But I have learnt a little now about them and it's wonderful that @ironshield has stepped forward to be one of them. I have no idea if it's a paid role or voluntary but either way I take my hat off to anyone who wishes to get involved in their local community to do genuinely good things for it.

You can also see the response by @alohaed who is not just a precinct delegate but a Precinct Leader so good for you dude, I think that's great what you're doing.

I am setting this post to payout a 15% beneficiary payment to @ironshield.

So Hive folk that's it for another week, and I hope that you too have appreciated my comment of the week. If my fellow Hivians would like to also join in with my #favouritecommentfriday project and shine a spotlight on a comment or reply which may have impressed you, made you chuckle or perhaps made you think deeply about something you hadn't thought of before then why not publish your own post. If you do make sure you use the tag #favouritecommentfriday or #fcf.

So please do think about participating in this small festival of appreciation and gratitude, because that's the essence of the #favouritecommentfriday project. It's to show some genuine appreciation for someone else's extra special comment or reply and make them feel a little more appreciated.

Peace!

Well.
My favourite comment came from the crypto cola show.

So I went and added him to my voting list lol.

Well that was good thing 1.
Good thing 2.

Then 3.
I won 5 HBI for the Three Tunes Tuesday post. I got 10K HP for the @rsclubcard account.

Well they say good things happen in three's. I used up my three for this year already in one fecking day.

So I am just gonna identify as a bear and hibernate for 11 month's.

Just to be positively contrarian, I sent you @ironshield and @peaceandmoney some HBI.

So you're up to four things. Unprecedented!

Careful. My ego can only grow so much before it bursts.

Thanks you.

I do forward my HBI to silverquest. Seems a better choice to have the HBI in the account that is sure to do four posts each week.

Sir, this is very kind of you and thank you for doing that. It seems that @thehive's winning streak has now gone beyond the luck of the Irish and entered a whole new dimension! There's no stopping it!

Wow, what an unexpected and welcome surprise. Thank you very much, this will help in the long-term journey towards owning several islands. Very long term journey...

Ha ha! Yes that comment from @alohaed was great and I am in complete agreement that it was indeed the best comment of the entire show. He deserves to be on your auto vote list for that reason alone.

You're doing very well at the moment @thehive, dare I attempt a joke regarding the luck of the Irish now or not?! In the interests of Anglo-Irish relations I will refrain!

If ye don't take the piss a bit. Ye ain't real English. For 800 years we have give it back and forth in one way or another. Don't let this new ave wokey kokey politically correct nonsense stop tradition.

Never! So feck eff now!

"delightfully eccentric speaker" few compliments are more awesome then that. !BBH

It's voluntary. It helps to get elected leaders to pay a bit more attention to you, so when used positively can help expedite issues in your local area (Precinct).

Hey thanks for this explanation I was curious to know actually. It sounds as though delegates are a kind of interface between the community and local authorities. We don't have that type of role here in Britain but it sounds like we could do with them!

Wow, I am delighted that my comment got such positive attention. Appreciate the kind words and the beneficiary gift. Wow!

I have no idea if it's a paid role or voluntary but either way I take my hat off to anyone who wishes to get involved in their local community to do genuinely good things for it.

It's a non-paid position, but it doesn't require much "work", just attending a few conventions each year and putting in our vote. We like to attend monthly "executive meetings", it's a good way to hear first-hand what's going on in our communities, being delegates lends a little bit of clout.

It does mean that my wife and I are actual "elected officials". In the most humble and lowly position in governance. But it's better than nothing! (And it's fun seeing our names on the ballot)

You're very welcome dude. Thanks for explaining about the position and that it's completely voluntary. As I said in the post I didn't know these roles existed but I think they are very important and bridge that gap between authority and community.

Trying to get anyone attend a monthly meeting is difficult when it is voluntary but if you can keep up with them I salute you! That's some commitment to your local community.

Learning about the actual goings ons and asking questions directly is helpful. So many characterizations of politicians, it's good to see for ourselves. Thanks for the VIP reward, appreciated! !BBH

Congratulations @ironshield !

Wear the crown proudly...you deserve it...

Cheers!
