RE: Hive, you have some real problems. So let's talk about that.

The thing about change here. When you're deep into it, daily grind, it's hard to notice the changes and progress. Looking back, there's been a lot. Much of it, I'm okay with. But it's slow.

Also have a lot of experience being in a decentralized environment. Not many can say that. Took awhile to adjust and eventually realized the only thing I can control here, is me.

And if someone screws up, like the example you provided, the only thing I can do about that is not let it bother me personally. I'm not too familiar with him and his history. So I probably won't join in on the bitching. Put my best foot forward, keep it there, and try not to fall. Use it as an opportunity to work on myself, since I can't change others.

If you look closely at the situation and the reaction in general. People are a lot more chill these days, even during the tough conversations. I kinda like that.

Sort:

People are more chill, this is true. I think the feauxvid period may have sapped a lot of people's will to fight for much so hard anymore.

That's a good reminder. This whole Hive thing popped up about the same time. Slowly but surely the whole world was at odds with one another. Politics had cities on fire. Can all say we've been to hell and back. So maybe people are tougher now. Maybe even desensitized. Not as fragile. But all this is a story for another day, or some thoughts for my own post if I ever get around to writing again.
