Aureal & Podping : v4v is coming to Aureal

As you can see from my profile, I’ve been testing various test episodes to ensure the experience of Aureal becomes seamless for our community members.

I’m Nihal Gawale, and I’m one of the core developers of Aureal : A multichain social podcasting protocol for Web 3.

During the last few months, we’ve undergone extreme planning, we explored a lot of other communities on Web3 to see how it can benefit our creators and curators here in Hive Ecosystem.

You must have heard about the recent partnership we had with Unstoppable Domains Aureal Partners with Unstoppable Domains to enable “Hive support”, “Seamless Onboarding” and Alternative to Patreon for Donations.

There are many more partnerships happening with multiple chains and frameworks with Aureal to ensure we are spread up across the web 3 ecosystem and attract a large chunk of Audience to Aureal and specifically Hive.

There is one prominent change that we have to add to Aureal, and the announcement has already been done. Thank’s to @brianoflondon, we’re enabling v4v on Aureal and making our podcasts accessible to all the other platforms in Podcasting 2.0 apps.

This is a strategic integration for us and changes Aureal in multiple ways:

Automatic Posting:

Until now, if you are a podcaster who is hosted anywhere in the world, you can simply add your RSS feed to Aureal and be a part of Hive Ecosystem. You are monetising and contributing to the network with spectacular content. But there is one flaw here.

When we’re looking for your episodes from your RSS feeds, we are constantly checking it, sometimes it doesn’t work. Hence we had to find a better solution for it, here comes the Podping .

Here instead of us checking your Podcast, Podping will relay the notifications to us to enable the automatic posting to Hive and interestingly, all your episodes can now be monetised using Streaming SATs.

Until now you’ve been monetising with Hive, now let’s add Streaming SATs to the list with Lightening node hosted by @brianoflondon.

Audio, Video and Live Podcasting :

This is something that has been due for very long. You can host your Audio, Video podcasts on Aureal. If you’re on youtube, you know your content is accessible on Aureal too.

But there is something interesting we’ve been working on these days. Aureal Livecast.

The liverooms that our community folks have been eagerly waiting for is coming to Aureal very soon. I’ve taken the responsibility to enable this on Aureal.

Now when we recreate your RSS feeds from your content hosted anywhere, and podping it. This relays a notification to PodcastIndex and Streaming SATs is enabled on your episodes.

But wait. Just Audio Podcasts ?

Nope, Audio, Video and Live.

Clubhouse and Twitter spaces seems interesting when you’re talking there. But did anyone tell you? You can now monetise when you’re hosting Livecast on Aureal.

Yes, now you can.

There are multiple possibilities here, but this is coming soon on Aureal. I’m writing this article to let you know what’s coming very soon, would love, if you can keep me accountable.

We’re creating an alternative multichain monetisation layer on top of Hive, Streaming SATs is one of the stepping stones, but a very important one.

Thanks to @brianoflondon for enabling this for us. Aureal is going to be the first platform to enable live podcast monetisation in Web3.
