When I tried to write about what made me stay at Hive, it propelled me to think about why I started with Hive firstly. The answer is somewhat similar in both cases. The following reasons propelled me to create my profile at Hive and start interacting, writing, and curating the content at Hive:
- It is a community of writers
- It talks about economic freedom for writers
- It allows sharing thoughts with like-minded people.
But in a personal capacity, I could not witness the economic freedom at Hive so far. Maybe because I have not explored enough, or I am not aware of abundant opportunities at the hive. Maybe with time, I will be able to explore the answer.
Why did I start at Hive?
I started at hive when I was looking for job opportunities. It is when I lost my job in the company’s shutdown. In the introduction post, I described the details of when I was working as a community manager with a Gamefi project developing at Avalanche network. I started to explore whether I can earn if I commit myself full-time with Hive as a content creator and curator.
I am still looking for, how much a writer can earn if committed full-time even after getting 400 followers. What are the prospects of earning per week if committed full-time?
Currently, I believe Hive is not for a full-time commitment. If you are starting with it, you have to use it as a parallel source of income.
Hive enthusiasts need to understand that Hive's social network is a replacement for traditional social networks like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Tiktok. Content creators can grab followers with the passage of time and start building their network in Hive space.
Better Than Traditional social media:
Other than a blockchain project, Hive has tremendous ground to gain from traditional social media including Facebook (Meta), Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Snapchat. I am still exploring if there will be an equivalent of a telegram at Hive. There is still scope for a direct messages (inbox) platform at Hive. I am looking for the Hive version of Telegram.
Ecosystem
I have not seen the cohesiveness in another blockchain ecosystem as it is in the Hive. All the projects in Hive are cohesive and integrative. That is something unique in Hive.
What is Driving Me at Hive?
Decentralization, a community of writers, and content creators, a wonderful community who help each other, and great projects, there are so many reasons to stay at Hive. I would love to be surrounded by a wonderful community, and at a platform where I can earn by writing, curating, and interacting with fellow beings.
@inuke Thanks for the idea. I am grateful that I can explore why I am doing this. I still completed it. ⚡

HIVE as a full-time is do able but its very demanding and it will not happen immediately but in months and years.
But the growth will be exponential if you are consistent and dedicated towards the craft.
I am totally agreeing with you on having a primary source of income from somewhere else. Hive can be taken as secondary.
All I can say is you are on right path.!!!
