RE: Hive investors arent ATMs. // "Make money here" as the main message needs to DIE

in #hive3 years ago

because they have disturbed the status quo.

No. Hes wrong, his idea is idiotic and hes arrogant. Thats why i called it out.

Then you disparage the man's wife.

His wife is worse than him. I mentioned her because i talked to her on these topics.

maybe it will attract some eyeballs to this place.

It wont..

What has the status quo done?

What the hell are you talking about? What he is pushing WAS THE STATUS QUO FOR 5 years.
We just changed it this year after leaving Steem.
Im sorry, but you have no idea what youre talking about.

Yes, this place needs more people like that guy, and a flame thrower to shake things up more to get some real competition in here

No. We need less people like him. Weve had thousands exactly like him and they ran Steem into the ground.

for some of these devs and their dApps and these so-called investors.

Dude. If it wasnt for the investors your account would be worth jack shit. Have some respect and try to understand business.
Hive will not be allowed to be run into the ground like Steem was with the same messaging that this guy is spreading.

I have to say, anyone that wants to devolve the Hive message into just the "make moneys here" is a dumbass and understands nothing about Hive.
You people really think investors exist just to give you money?

Are you people stupid?

Sort:

My account is what it is because I purchased almost all of the Hive myself. I don't care about rewards for my content, how many times do I have to say it?

I tell you what. I'll put my money where my mouth is. If I decide to waste my time posting to empty seats and useless automated curation trails again, I'll decline rewards for all future posts or gift them somewhere or to someone.

That's how much I don't care about being rewarded for my posts. My reward is eyeballs and engagement. As the content creator, it is my job to reward my consumer. Yet again you are saying how dare I do so. THAT IS WHAT IS IDIOTIC.

I'm done. Now you and all the in-crowd can start figuring out how to downvote me and anyone else who might dare every vote for my content or comment on it. That's if I dont decide just to cash out and hit the road anyway,

...but wish I would have done that a few weeks ago. May just let it bake for now.

As the content creator, it is my job to reward my consumer. Yet again you are saying how dare I do so.

What are you talking about? This has absolutely nothing to do with anything discussed. Some people want to eliminate all other messaging and just promote blogging as Hive.

Thats not what Hive is.
Im really not sure what you want?

Blogging is promoted. But thats not the only thing promoted. He wants to promote just blogging and considers everything else stupid.

Thats wrong.

Now you and all the in-crowd can start figuring out how to downvote me and anyone else who might dare every vote for my content or comment on it.

What are you talking about. 😂
Have fun. lol

You are like talking to a brick wall. Fuck blogging! I'm talking rewarding consumers and you guys are saying we shouldn't be promoting rewarding consumers.

Screw us bloggers for a second. What about rewarding the gamers and other types of consumers? That is what I am talking about. That is what he meant for the focus to be about. He just focused on blogs because that is what he sees as a new user. The general intent of the post was to get those consumers in the door. What you and others are saying is that people like me tell people that if they engage (NOT CREATE OR BLOG) on my content, they can get paid, or whatever is killing Hive and are bad people.

I have been doing exactly this internally within Hive as an experiment using my own Hive from my wallet, and it has worked. I get real engagement now. Real comments! Not just fly-by auto-curated votes. Real eyeballs on content. Real eyeballs on the game, the app, whatever you want to call it. So why is it so bad that I would do the same thing using HP?

Also, I noticed you sidestepped my comment about the DHF scheme. Let's not even talk about how nathanmars got shat on after all the work he did ahead of his proposal while that shit is allowed...

I'm talking rewarding consumers and you guys are saying we shouldn't be promoting rewarding consumers.

No i am not. That is absolutely false. Did you even read the post?

He just focused on blogs because that is what he sees as a new user.

Exactly. Because he doesnt understand Hive and doesnt know what the hell he is talking
about.

So why is it so bad that I would do the same thing using HP?

Who said it was?

Let's not even talk about how nathanmars got shat on after all the work he did

I love Nathan but posting tweets on twitter as a marketing strategy is nonsense. :)
Nathan can do great things for spreading word between Hivers on twitter and he is invaluable there: But tweeting to the Hive echochamber isnt anything close to effective marketing.

I think we are talking around each other at this point.

Not sure if I am the bad guy or the good guy. However, I will dial it down and apologize for what it may be worth at this point.

All I know is that we need consumers for all the dApps and the content, and we need them badly. If we don't get that, we don't get the rest.

Can we at least agree on that?

If not, then I think we are two passing ships lost to each other in the sea.

Of course we agree on that.

I just dont understand why youre defending that guy?

Does anyone even read what is written. He wants to devolve marketing....

nvm, whatever. have fun.

I don't think he does. I think he wants to make the message exciting. He just needs to understand Hive better. Instead of dismissing him, you should be educating him, pulling him in and utilizing those writing talents to send the message in the manner it needs sent. Which is butts in seats without a scammy make millions feel.
