RE: Harassing me is a bad marketing strategy for Blurt

in #hive11 days ago (edited)

You are supposedly new. I looked up who made your account when you implied you were new when you first joined. Your account was made by LEO so I cannot ask who made your account and see if you are actually new or not. You are acting like you are new so I have to go along with it.

Even if you are not new, you are being nice and that’s all I care about.

People get banned from X and Meta. Those platforms have massive teams of people that get paid to stop inappropriate content and actively remove accounts.

We do not have those luxuries. No one owns this. We cannot ban people. We cannot stop people from posting. And most people here do not get paid to stop HIVE “abuse.” We do not even have a consensus of what “abuse” is. There is no way for us to have a consensus.

People have been complaining for years about us not being able to onboard or retain users.

Well the user experience is pretty bad unless you are just used to being harassed.

I think we should try to repair relationships with Blurt people and we need a front end that a normal person can use. Normal people will not go along with this. I’m sorry X and Meta is moderated so poorly in your country.

Yes, that's right. In fact, when I created my blog I mentioned it. It's all there. Then they sent me to Peak, recently to Ecency. Although I've seen moderation in several countries in the X and Meta groups, you always see everything from quiet bullying where the only goal is to make someone uncomfortable or give a jokey smile, to more catastrophic situations. Since I don't even know what Blur is or Hive, I'm still just observing from the perspective of the people who use it.😊
