Things were ticking along nicely, nobody had complained, all good, but then I noticed that I was posting on Hive with nothing arriving at my WordPress sites.
After investigating it turned out the plugin was fine, it was my server that was the problem.
You see, WordPress plugins are open source. That means anyone can read the source.
It also means that I can't put my API keys or logins into the plugin.
My solution, which worked for ages until it didn't, was for the plugin to contact my web server which would return the post data that you need.
Checking my server showed a few small issues, nothing an update and a reboot wouldn't fix.
Oops. It didn't come back after the reboot.
Annnnyway, long story too long, I have set up a new server at Hetzner and it seems to be working again! Yay!
Let me know if you see any issues please!
I've been wanting to try out your HiveWP plugin and this update is the reminder prompt I needed to put this at the top of my list. Thanks for posting about the update.
I hope it works out for you, please let me know what you think :)
A couple of people have even forked my code but I get very little feedback
