RE: Join Hive at Web3 Berlin June 10-11, 2023: The Biggest Crypto Conference in Europe, Community Meetups, and more!

in #hivelast year

The declined post rewards are human error, to be quite honest :) When writing from the main Hive account on behalf of the whole platform, there's no need for rewards to be collected and it makes much more sense to leave that portion of the rewards pool for the rest of the userbase, or to channel it in to a slushfund to put behind more events like this one!

However, while you will see we set a beneficiary to do just that, the UI didn't indicate setting that beneficiary would not override "decline rewards" which was the past default. So that one is on the poster for not catching while working on the final draft. We've made a note to always check it as when the rewards are declined the post won't trend by most front end algorithms, and that's not ideal.

Thank you so it's enough for me you explained the situation completely for me, I personally don't think their is any issue receiving rewards from a this @hiveio account, in my opinion this account should have more HP then any account on hive also earned more rewards and upvotes on posts as compared to any account on hive because @hiveio representing hive blockchain officially

Well... not really, no. It's more like a workaround-account for those who can't get what's decentralization really is.
