It's about that time kiddos, where after the recent run-up in the price of the HIVE token, that it begins to slowly settle down after the pump.
You know those people who always materialize out of nowhere and "Return" whenever the price pops? Now is when they slowly begin to slink away into the shadows until the next HIVE pump.
Happens all the time.
They've made a nice chunk of change posting like crazy and receiving big, fat, upvotes from those with large stakes, so that they can offload the HIVE token for a big, fat, profit.
You'd think the loons people supporting these leeches would, you know, recognize this pattern seeing as how many of them have been here with me since 2016 during the Steemit days.
Kinda makes sense, right?
You're either grabbing a pail and bailing as the ship is taking on water, or you're hopping into the empty lifeboat (thinking only of yourself), and taking the money and running.
It may be that some of these blood-suckers are buddies with the large upvoters, and that explains why they want to take care of their friends.
Were it me that controlled that sizable a stake, I'd be on the lookout to upvote those who stuck around and kept building through both boom and bust.
These are the types of Hivians that you can build a lasting community on. Instead of what I call 'Boomerang Bloggers' ("sucking up dollars"), these are long-term builders with an owners mindset.
These are the content creators that pour themselves into each blog post as well as nurture new members. They're always willing to answer questions and offer wise counsel. They're the helpful sort that created the tutorials which gave me a real boost when I was starting out on Steemit back in 2017 (after spending a year lurking onsite first).
Did you bring a Roman Banquet for EVERYONE?
So to you big, fat, overstuffed whales, please keep 'The Hivians that Remain' in your thoughts when you're handing out those succulent upvotes with your greasy beef-fat stained hands. :)
Let them have a seat at the opulent table of your nine-course Roman banquet once in awhile. Reach under those rolls of fat and throw a jelly donut juicy upvote their way. That's how we build for the long-term and avoid sharing the fate of MySpace, Orkut, and GeoCities with Hive.
I like that. #The Hivians that remain#. Sounds like a Dr.Who episode title.
Right? lol As soon as it popped into my head I thought "that's a keeper!" This was a fun post to write. Light, with a little bit of humor folded in to gently push the message.
