Introducing HiveBooster — a community-powered boost for Hive posts

I’m excited to announce the launch of HiveBooster.xyz: a simple and transparent way for content creators on HIVE to get extra upvotes — backed by real HIVE buy-pressure. The voting account will be @boostervoter.

This isn’t a delegation or vote-buying service. Instead, HiveBooster works by funding upvotes through affiliate and ad-revenue. Every $ (or other currency) earned gets used to purchase and stake HIVE — which increases the upvote value over time. It’s a small step toward helping the community, by converting external revenue into on-chain support.

Why I built HiveBooster — inflation, ecosystem health & buy-pressure

There’s been growing concern over the inflation dynamics in the Hive ecosystem. As described in this post by threespeak high HBD APRs and large outflows from the Decentralized Hive Fund (DHF) contribute significantly to non-programmatic inflation.

In short:

  • The annual inflation caused by high HBD APRs (~15%) adds substantial HIVE/HBD supply.

  • DHF outflows (~2.3 M HBD/year) also drive inflation — at levels many times higher than what some consider sustainable.

This inflation, without corresponding demand growth, dilutes value and undermines price stability.

I wanted to do something — even if small and imperfect — to help counteract that trend. HiveBooster is my personal contribution: a grassroots effort to create extra buying demand for HIVE. Every upvote we give means HIVE bought and staked. If enough people use HiveBooster (and optionally support our affiliate deals), we collectively push some buy pressure into the market — which over time could help mitigate the inflation’s negative effects.

How HiveBooster works (quick overview)

Go to HiveBooster.xyz and paste the URL of your Hive post (from PeakD, Ecency, Inleo).

On submission, your post gets a random upvote between 1–10 % strength depending on current available voting power of @boostervoter.

HiveBooster monetizes via affiliate deals / ad banners. 100% of that revenue gets used to buy & stake HIVE.

As that HIVE is staked, @boostervoter’s upvote power grows — translating into bigger upvotes for everyone over time.

In other words: your participation helps fuel future growth. The more the community uses HiveBooster, the stronger the support for Hive content becomes — all funded by external revenue, not by diverting community stake or delegations.

To the community — what I hope for, and a humble request

I know this is just the beginning. HiveBooster isn’t perfect. There will be bugs, limitations, and many things to improve over time. I view this as a first, experimental step — a sort of “proof-of-concept” that community-backed buy pressure is possible.

If you believe in Hive, and you want to support the ecosystem in a different way than just delegating, I encourage you to give HiveBooster a try. If you create content, submit your posts. If you’re browsing, consider using the affiliate links (if they appeal to you) — every bit helps build upvote strength.

Please do not delegate to @boostervoter — that’s not the goal. The goal is simple: convert real world value -> HIVE -> upvotes, and support content creators while adding long-term buy pressure.

If you try it out — great. If you don’t, that’s fine too. Either way — feedback is very welcome. Feel free to comment under this post or reach out if you spot bugs, have ideas, or want to help improve HiveBooster.

In conclusion

Hive is powerful — a decentralized blockchain ecosystem built for social content, community and growth. But like many blockchains, it’s facing inflation-related challenges. By launching HiveBooster, I’m trying to do my small part to help: converting affiliate revenue into HIVE demand and staking — to support content and give extra value back to the community.

Let’s see where this goes. It’s early days, but with community support, HiveBooster might become one of many tools helping strengthen Hive’s ecosystem. Let me know your thoughts on the site and on what can be improved. I didn't want to talk too much about the concept, but instead act and create something that can work from day 0.

Interesting 🤔, I am going to try it

Thanks a lot! Every little step helps!

At first
I thought it's a vote buying scheme, glad to know it's not.

Here we r converting our time into money instead of giving money to someone for kickbacks.

Over all, I think it's healthier for hive.

Let's see how others will think about it.

Thanks a lot for your feedback. The votes right now are obviously more of a vanity thing as they're really not worth anything, and unless people start using the service at a bigger scale, it will stay like that. It's really not about extracting value from the inflation portion of Hive (as I'm not planning on ever selling any of the HIVE I buy or receive from curation) but inserting value from "the real world", whatever that may be,

HiveBuster monetizes through affiliate agreements/banner ads. Where do you place affiliate banners a

nd how can people help the project?

Thanks for asking. For me, it's best if you just use the service to produce votes (feel free to curate good posts by sending them a free upvote. I'm thinking about adding a field for the Hive name of a "sponsor" that will be mentioned in the respective reply) and give me feedback on what else you think could make sense, or which parts don't really work.

Nice. I haven't come across this type of idea before. Are you thinking of including affiliate links for more type of products, for example regular purchasing of items from webstores, etc.?

Hey, thanks for your feedback and sorry for the late reply. I needed to take a few days to focus on other things. Yes, I'm generally open to include whatever kind of affiliate links, as it really doesn't matter where the revenue is generated, just thought that crypto-related links might convert the best, at least for the beginning. Would you have suggestions for specific sites or links I should be looking at?

I've seen Amazon affiliate links and hosting companies affiliate links, that's the first thing that came to mind. Even though I prefer smaller and more local companies, sometimes giants are difficult to avoid, so might be worth a shot.

I'm uploading my post soon. Let's see how your tool fares...

Amazing. I'll try it....

Thank you! Let me know how it works for you

I appreciate your contribution under threespeak post. Every little step to help Hive is welcomed. Let's boost this Hive! 💪

Thanks a lot for your comment and the positive energy! Please try the service and let me know what I can do better

As we grow through affiliate revenue, the value of positive votes will increase.

What does this mean, and how can users become affiliates?

Users don't become affiliates, the service utilizes affiliate links to monetize the page. So feel free to sign up and use any of the services that are listed on hivebooster.xyz to support the growth of the service.

Great initiative! I will definetely give it a try! Well done! 👍🏻

Thank you! Let me know how I can improve after trying.

Worked fine. 👍🏻

Great projects and its good you don't even want any donations or delegation . more like a proof of use concept

Thanks a lot for your comment. Would love to see you use the service to get upvotes for yourself and others, and give me your honest feedback on what can be improved!
