The idea of ​​replacing users' level symbols with an ecosystem closer to the "hive" metaphor is not new. We thought about it ourselves when the community forked Steem to create Hive, and when we launched the HiveBuzz project.

We have kept the marine ecosystem because it is well known in the crypto world, especially the concept of whales. It better represents the weight of an account according to the amount of assets it owns. The bee world is more function-oriented. That's why it wasn't chosen.
