I came across this cool awards program created by @hivecreators, so I thought I'd take the time to share it with others to get more people involved in the nomination process!
After easily logging in with @keychain, you can go to the nomination page, and there you have nominations split up based on niches:
Something @eddiespino let me know is that you don't need to nominate all the categories which is nice! Another thing to keep in mind is that the nominations are stored onchain, what I assume through custom json. Communities are quite easy to nominate since it checks which ones you're subscribed to to recommend them to you there:
Either way, quite a well thought-out and implemented system that'd be a waste to not fully utilize! So let's get everyone to participate this year and make this one of the best starts to Hive Creator awards ever!

The first that comes to mind is @beaker007 in the category web3 development for his awesome work creating Splinterlands land tools.
Tech and technology is @cherokee4life, he's very busy and knowledgeable with AI and 3d printing (that will get even bigger next year probably) so kudo's for that, he makes it understandable with good posts so we all can understand.
Favorite community is definitely @splinterlands for me, and the favorite app to publish on is @peakd.
In the category sports I always enjoy reading @nanixxx posts in the cycling community.

😄 Oh, what an honour. Thank you so much. Last night, when I saw this post and went to the page to submit my nomination, I lost connectivity. So I’ll give it another try now, but I did see a schedule… I’m not sure I’ll still be on time.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention as otherwise I would have missed it. It took some time to select the nominees, but worth it. Also shows which category I have no contact with 😜
Now I'm waiting for the results to be announced. I'm really curious to see the winners of a few categories.
In any case, it makes you think of who is representing what category and a reminder to diversify content as well.
That's a fun idea. I'm curious to see how the results are distributed, if they are more or less in line with the likes that people receive on their content. Many of the latter are automated, so there might not be as many active likers that will also vote in the award.
At last I was able to nominate. I realised there are some communities and categories I’m not familiar with (I mean, I’m not really up to speed on those topics… and as I was looking through, I realised I’ve actually missed out on some really good content). I felt I should adjust my goals for next year here on Hive, aiming for better organisation in what I’m curating and consuming, so that I can reach more creators who are doing excellent work. This is a great initiative.

For me, it took quite a good amount of days... to search for the people I would be making my fair judgment.
It's not easy, and it's a task that I quite value spending time on.
Sure, that's commendable, but I like that they aren't forcing people to nominate all categories with the max amount of users, etc, so even casuals can get involved!
Yep, anyone within a specific scope... and this is just the first one. I would even add more time for voting... like 1 full month! So it can get even broader...

Not because of time, but because of the process I use to vote for people... I can't recall everyone I interacted with in a year, and having time to go through the "daily's" makes huge sense for me.
