THE POWER OF THE HIVE

Hello HIVE SWARMY, I hope you all and your loved ones find themselves doing well. The World continues to reel from the devastation brought on by the Coronavirus, but the World will not buckle. The Dark Winters of the past have all been overcome by brilliant Springs, and so to these painful moments shall pass and follow with a beautiful and blossoming World again.

The World needs its worker bees to pollinate all the living wild flowers of the World, and on May 1st, 2020, the World will recognize all of the workers (laborers) of this World Colony we call EARTH. On May 1st, 2020, the Hive Blockchain will follow suit in recognizing and supporting the Worker/Laborer with its 1 Year HIVE-PUD-INTL day. From something that I thought would maybe catch on once, and possibly become a yearly thing if that, it has now become a monthly event that many in the community look forward to supporting. Although we did lose some momentum with the change over to the HIVE Blockchain as well as the sudden change to the Entire World with this viral menace, HIVE-PUD remains popular with many looking forward to the next event.

I am pleased to say that some have heeded my call for HIVE-PUD prize sponsorships. We have gained a few new sponsors and the total prizes have increased. Now this is still tentative as I am waiting to hear from others as to how exactly they will help sponsor the next HIVE-PUD event, so expect there to be some changes to the prize list. For now, I will list the prizes that have been pledged, and I will update as changes come up as well.

Before getting into the prizes, I did want to explain a little about this article's main image. I took my last article's image that was created from a drawing I made of a robotic drone bee. I then edited the bee in PHOTOSHOP, added another edited bee and some honeycomb structures in the background.

Now here things get extra interesting. After a little back and forth conversation with @librepensadora in regards to the last HIVE-PUD, I decided to check out her blog. I was so glad that I did because not only is she a great member of the HIVE Swarmy, she is also a great human being and has interesting topics to share as well. One of those topics led to this image.

One of her articles, Artificial Intelligence Photo Filters, caught my eye, especially the image. I thought to myself, 'I have not seen a photo filter like that, let me see what is going on.' I read her post and looked into the sites she used to create these magical images. Since one site made you create a login, I did not pursue that site, although they had the filter I really wanted to try out originally. I then proceeded to the second website that offers an AI translation of your artwork at Night Cafe Studio, where you don't have to create an account if you don't want to. I uploaded my artwork and chose a template for the AI to use to render its version of my artwork. Luckily the system created several versions using different templates. I didn't like the rendering from the template I had chosen but did like the rendering you see here as the main image of this article. I think the AI did a fantastic job of rendering its version of my artwork. What does the SWARM THINK? Comment below.

What is HIVE-PUD and How Will It Help?

HIVE-PUD stands for HIVE POWER UP DAY, (HIVE-PUD) takes place the first day of every month.

On this day:

• We ask that all that are able to POWER UP any amount of HIVE COIN they have on HIVE-PUD day.

• We ask accounts that are currently Powering Down, to put a Stop on Powering Down for that Day, and if desired to commence the Power Down the following day.

• We ask that those that trade or sell Hive, to Not Sell or Trade Hive on HIVE-PUD Day, but to do it the day before or after if possible. Also, to cancel any type of Sell Order on the Exchanges.

The prizes are meant to incentivize the smaller members of the HIVE, the young bees looking to turn blogging nectar in honey for the HIVE. By Powering Up Hive coins into Hive Power, members of the HIVE show support for the HIVE BLOCKCHAIN and the HIVE Community while helping to grow their own account as well.

MUST Power Up HIVE COIN on MAY 1st, 2020

On MAY 1st, you MUST make a post about your POWER UP. It can be as simple as "I powered up X amount of HIVE COIN" to a simple picture/screenshot of your Power Up and posted to your HIVE blog, or it could be a super long dissertation on HIVE Power. IMPORTANT: use HIVE-PUD-INTL hash tag so that I can be sure to see them.

The winners Must meet all 5 requirements, and it will be based on the Biggest HIVE Power Up PERCENTAGE, not the biggest Power Up. This means that it will be based on the ratio between your current amount of HIVE Power and the amount you power up on MAY 1st.

For Example:

If you have 1000 HIVE Power already powered up prior to MAY 1, and on MAY 1 you complete steps 1-5 with a 100 HIVE Power Up,

and

another HIVE member has 300 HIVE Powered up prior to MAY 1, and on MAY 1st Powers Up 60 HIVE Coin, then this 2nd user would be winning with a 20% power up versus the first example with a bigger power up but smaller percentage of only 10% based on their account.
