Opened up a new Gladious pack today. I pulled a epic Marisol Contuma which will make a nice addition to my collection of gladious cards and since I am only doing brawls now and renting out my deck for DEC as well as just working land for 2 plots the epic and legendary which with a runi on each produce a decent amount of grain probably a couple dollars a day. I use the grain to run one sps plot as well and then sell the rest for DEC. I usually take the staking rewards and pair them with the DEC i get from land in the lp to generate some income until i have enough to pull out to BSC and swap into USDC and bridge it to Arbitrum where I will decide where to invest it depending on where we are in the markets. I am almost done down sizing my collection to a level I am more comfortable with in terms of value as I had way to much before and I still think cards and things will eventually bounce back in price which is why I have most of my listings about 5/10x there burn value or more to ensure I get a decent multiple on my sales of cards. The renting seems to be more profitable than botting in wild for me unless I were to invest a lot of money in cards and also to be competitive in modern you need a lot of money invested for cards and they are just to risky now as they used to always go up and sell out now the demand is much less and cards take a lot longer to flip on the market. Also the other assets are very weak like i was lucky i think to sell my last node above 300 after a few years and it probably was close to break even on it and luckily i sold my 25 other nodes at 1000 ish and above or i would have took a really bad hit. I took a hit on sps but luckily sold the millions i had before the huge huge decrease and it saved me thousands in losses as of now and i ended up making money on it by buying btc and other things at lows before they ran up so it is deff important to have a sizable portfolio outside spl and make sure you buy spl investments wisely to ensure you buy them at the right time and price so you are not likely to be absolutely screwed on price if you happen to make a mistake. I may be selling my glx nodes soon as it will likely not be profitable for me unless i can get someone to delegate me a ton of glx but likey will just sell them off slowly. I think i will start unlocking a few to sell weekly so i can downsize it before the distributions only come if you run a node. If i can just run it on my desk top i will since it wont take any extra power as i have it always on but if i need a virtual environment it will deff not be worth the cost as the price of GLX is crashed into the ground and the game is not that great the only chance it has is to get a new game in there that becomes something people want to play and is more quality and fun. A first person shooter would be a great game to get in there and if they were able to get a investment of capital in that then glx would be re ignited i think as the current games are not doing it. Arcadecolony is like so many other games i have seen and both glx and colonys daos are not even organized like the SPS dao which is acting and will be soon completely separate with a board and treasurers etc the other daos are things we all basically sell as a extra bit of return for holding sps except for the few people that play the other games. I may start to save some glx buy when sps is so low and all the hype will be around splinerlands as it is doing something that is more exciting and will be the showcase and if it starts to do well then glx is might be worth retaining from the remaining nodes ill have if i can sell them for a good price as i wont give them away id rather run them than give them away for a huge loss just to even learn how to do it and then maybe i can run a hive wittness as i have a idea for that as well. The other route i could go is just let ezlicense run them but that would be risky since its trusting a company with your nodes they could just sell them and rug pull there is not assurance you wont be scammed not saying it is but it could be easy to just walk away if it becomes not profitable for them.
