Introduction

As a relatively new player to splinterlands Chaos Legion is my first pack sale and it seems that Death has emerged as one of my favourite decks to use. The use of summoners to counter other players in combination with the fact that I have managed to get a Level 2 Thaddius Brood. This obviously makes me more likely to lean into death as well.

Using Dhampir Stalker

I personally see the Dhampir stalker as a card that I try to use whenever the mana allows as its high damage and true strike make it an amazing combination to take out units with high speed or bother dodging-based abilities such as fly.

The Match

Before we break down the team let's look at the rule set. We have 25 mana, trample and magic reflect.

Team composition

Since it was magic reflect I decided to use my Harklaw as a tank since the shield in combination with magic reflect will mean that it will have all 3 types of attack covered. For my backline, I went for high-ranged dmg to avoid using magic, using the grim reaper to make targets a bit easier to take out. Since the focus was the Dhampir Stalker I put it in the middle to keep it alive as long as possible.

As you can see at a glance this combination works out very well as a counter here so I guess I was lucky.

Round 1

After the end of the first round, my grim reaper has taken off one additional health on top of the -1 that Thaddius Brood provides has given me a good head start. My tank took 1 magic damage that was reflected back and the Pelacor Mercenary has done 1 damage to my shield however on the flip side my Dhampir Stalker has come in and taken out the shields which let my Harklaw get 2 damage in on their tank. My Grim reaper did miss but this is where true strike is at its best.

Round 2

This is where the steam roll starts, Both the Grim Reaper and my Dhampir Stalker hit their shots on the enemy tank taking it out. Finally, my Harklaw got a hit off on their Unicorn Mustang.

Round 3

Again this 8 DMG combo takes out their Mustang in one go with no misses. Thanks to the reflect their backline is already basically dead and their last melee unit cant even damage my tank.

Final Thoughts

As you can see this combination is absolutely brutal, knocking 2 HP off all your enemies right at the start and dealing between 3 and 8 DMG a turn as well as having a beast of a tank that has a shield. What makes this so strong is the Dhampir Stalkers confirmed damage every turn which makes sure you are at least putting a dent in your enemy. What it comes down to is how long can Harklaw hold on which the Dhampir Stalked does its job.
