Education is an important factor for the well being humans. There were many colleges , schools and institues opening up every day for imparting education. But the scenario is limited only till the urban areas. Infact I belive education has now become a mainstream business module for making wealth for many people.
On the contrarary, the condition in Rural areas in completelly different. People still trying to educate their kids with limited provision. They still follow the old tradional approach. Infact one of such approach is to wake up early everyday and study.
It is believed that in morning fresh air, with fresh mind the concept get clear and kidd able to learn everything deeply. Studying in the morning may work best, when the brain is better able to focus. Students who study during the day benefit from a refreshed and energized mind after a good night's sleep
With this approach, I was surprised to find a group of kids studying so early in the morning beside a farming field.
For your clarification, this is not a actual village school. These Rural kids, still rely mostly on the private tuition. They go to local teacher who impart his knowledge through conducting these private classes. This is especially true for rural schools where staffing challenges are the greatest.
The are many problems faced by rural sector in achieving the education to all. There are less number of schools and resources, less availability of teachers, social stigma, distance between the school and home, lack of awareness of education and many other factors, which make kids less Interested in studying.
Generally, mostly Government aided school run in rural parts of India. There is always lack of teachers or in case teachers is not a problem, then changing teachers approach is bigger challenge.
In this case, the kids need to rely on the private classrs. No matters what level of education the tutor has, the kids does have more faith on them. Even we must salute the tutor for arranging all level of classes at same time. If you notice, you will find kids of all age groups.
The teacher do give attention to each one of them one by one. No discrimination made. Anyhow if you are wondering he must be charging more and then be assure the tuition cost is far less in rural areas then urban part.
What more inspired me is the set up of the classes. Right beside a big farming fields, under the tree. The teacher has only a chair and rest of the kids sat on the sack or cloth brought from home. So they carry an extra baggage along with the regular books and notebooks.
!
It seems to be a family affair, as the teacher wife is busy in household chores. Washing vegetable, cleaning and many other things. But whatever be the case the atmosphere is quite peaceful and silent. It is not like usual school classroom having lot of noise.
These poor kids doesn't have all the necessary stationary like bags, pen, pencil etc still they were quite happy. One thing I do notice that the concept of these poor kids were far better than the understanding level of the urban kids. They understand better unlike the urban school who mostly cover the syllabus than making kids education base strong.
Getting to see such thing early in the morning does inspire me to do some better stuffs. I am ready to teach them English or Math but I thought the tutor might take off wrongly. It is like making a hole in his pocket. So I walked away slowly without disturbing the classes.
It was fantastic experience during my early morning walk. And inspired me to do something for them. Hopefully slowly I pave my way to their life and help them stand universally.
It's so sad most times to see educational institutions being more focused on financial prowess than imparting required knowledge on people. Education as it used to be just ain't the same no more
Nowadays, it's everywhere trending...money matters for them. Have you looked at their course prices? So.etimes they are more than cost of a two wheeler
Very true. Just wish things could go back to normal
I to believe an early start is good for children and that there at their peak for learning earlier in the day
I suspect these rural skill teach the kids more practical and useful things that the big schools
Wwt
What I noticed among many village kids that they have practical approach to every topic. One interesting ..you know the part of India where I live is not English speaking as compared to people of metro cities....but if you listen both English...then you will find, grammatically the English of our area is stronger than metro cities..
That is very interesting
When I see this kind of moment it makes me sad (this is always a tearjerker moment for me), If only I could help them and give them all their needs for their study, I would.
