RE: Reading Lessons with my Grade Schooler Niece #Episode 1

Sounds like she's progressing well and it sounds like you're getting the hang of trying different things out to see what she best responds to and what keeps her interest. She's taking a lot on learning both the English and Tagalog alphabets, so it may feel overwhelming to her at times.

In my experience I find that whenever possible, it's great to try and make learning a game for children. This way they have the motivation and the excitement to learn and they're more likely to retain what they've learnt.

It's been less than a week of tutoring sessions and I can really feel her progress already. I'm still trying to improve my ways so she won't easily get bored. I sometimes let her watch cartoons in English in the middle of the lesson everytime I feel like she's losing her interest. I guess the ABAKADA works really well for her. I would definitely prepare games for her next time I may still search for education gaming sites. Thanks for the comment. I really appreciate it. Have a wonderful day!
