This is very well written and an interesting discussion on this topic. Unfortunately, it's not really a fit for this community and may have fit better in the general Education community.

Here we specifically discuss topics on homeschooling, or education at home. Our goal is to support and help each other with teaching our children from home. While not everyone posting here educates exclusively at home or has children, we ask that anything posted either involves this topic or give ideas to help parents with educating at home.
