The New Estate DAO was established to purchase and rescue aristocratic estates, turning them into self sustainable cooperatives and centers of community.

The palaces have been converted into living and working spaces for resident explorers, visiting students and shared community purposes. The grounds and decorative gardens converted into regenerative farm land, mixed use among produce and livestock, with a weekly farmers market and local produce delivery.

The resident explorer program is home to a vibrant community of artists, makers, educators and innovators - all working together to spread the message and educate the public. Hosting workshops and field trips for the public and certification programs in many areas of knowledge, developing expertise and sending it out to transform the world.

There is even a program training new leaders to establish and operate additional estates.

This estate was established by Lord Whatsit in the early 1700s. The first manor house was demolished just one generation after being built to make way for the palace.

Three years ago it went into foreclosure and that was when our group sought to purchase it. It takes immense resources and effort to maintain such an estate. They say it takes an army, well we are an army. We are fighting to save the planet from humans and protect humans from themselves.

We take a mosaic perspective when considering social issues. Which means that we believe there is not just one solution to any problem but many approaches that can work towards a solution simultaneously. Where one might falter another might gain ground, ideally reducing the size of the problem from all sides.

We are the discussion and we are demonstrating how community is integral to building a prosperous future.

Education and action are key to all of our efforts, we seek to lead by example and share our models and methods freely.

Welcome to Scholar and Scribe!
Quick tip as you're learning your way through Hive: the #scholarandscribe tag is best used in the tag data area, same as you've done #futurefiction and the others. If it's in that space (and not in the post body), you will earn our tokens over time as people who hold the tokens vote on your posts (that contain the tag)!

You can edit your post to include it, and it should still work. I think. Haha.

Fixed, thanks! 🎉

Cheers!
