I loved that reminiscent picture that you drew for us from your childhood, growing up when etiquette and values were strong, and desserts were simply scrumptious, and always a real treat for the family!!!

I imagine those days spent with your father were very precious indeed. I had a lot of dental surgery when I was growing up, having been born with a hare lip and cleft palate, and I remember my Mom would buy me a little gift from the toy store and then also always take me to Woolworths in South Africa to get these little sets of chocolate gnomes (a great post dental treat, right?🤣)... but the best thing was waking up from surgery and seeing her...although I always felt incredibly nauseous after surgery... I am sure in those days the gas they used to knock you out must have been crappy stuff hahaha
