Love's 'Choco Break'
Lying in bed and savoring a delicious Choco Break, one of my favorite chocolates, I looked at the whitish ceiling that over the years had become discolored and some black spots became surrealistic figures that danced in front of my eyes, while the chocolate was melting between my tongue and palate leaving a trail of intoxicating sweetness.
While the chocolate disappeared into the fluids of the mouth, memories came flooding back and I remembered the day when Choco Break became my favorite chocolate. An emotional flashback swirled back to a time when love became the only moment when I was thrilled and felt loved in every fiber and pore of my skin.
I closed my eyes as the chocolate melted in my mouth leaving that delicious smooth sweetness. Behind my pupils, my eyes danced uncontrollably to the rhythm of the images captured on a mental monitor. I took a deep breath and surrendered myself to the delirium of memories, which sailed like gondolas through the canals of Venice.
I saw myself in a time not too far away and not too near. I was leaving the university with Jasmine, a charming girl, with a touch of obscurantism in her look, deep black hair, and a sexy piercing on the side of her nose. She had a lovely smile that bewitched.
After a long day of notes, explanations, exams, and worries about semester results, we left with a hint of rest and sleep. Jasmine took my hand and said, “Come see my boyfriend, please.”
“Come on, I don't have much to do, haha.” We made our way to the right place, amidst laughter and anecdotes.
The afternoon was advancing fast, after walking for a few minutes we arrived at the meeting point. She picked up her cell phone and after several attempts, her boyfriend answered. I listened to the conversation that quickly turned into a fight. The screams were not long coming and finally, Jazmin hung up, furious she looked at me, “That man is stupid, I'm going to finish with him, I can't stand him anymore.”
“Calm down, think things through with a cool head. Take a deep breath and let's go have a drink to get over your anger.” I took Jasmine by her soft hand and we went to look for a place to spend a pleasant moment and forget the bitter drink.
We arrived at a bar, darkness reigned in the place, and at times it was appeased by a faint red light. Rock music was playing, while we had a few beers, to improve our mood after that unfortunate episode.
Those faded crimson-red braces looked lovely under the dim light that illuminated us sporadically. Her beautiful face took on a new tinge of sensuality and I was spellbound.
After the alcohol had taken its effect we left the place and the night with a little cold welcomed us. I hugged her to mitigate the chilly breeze. Jazmin looked at a small store and dashed, with a little shuffle of feet she reached the place, and asked to be served, from inside a woman peeked out, already old and with a patience as infinite as the universe, she asked, “What do you want, Miss?”
“Please, ma'am, give me two Choco Break.” Jasmine managed to modulate the lyrics well despite the alcohol in her blood. She came back to me and happy for what she had achieved, stretched out her hand then offered me the small chocolate.
At that moment, something wonderful happened, while we were enjoying that chocolate, I remember Jasmine putting her arms on my shoulders. We stood looking at each other and then she brought her lips to mine and still with the sweet chocolate in our mouths, a passionate kiss was born. Those minutes were the most magical and sweetest I had ever experienced in my entire life.
I came out of my memories, while the delicious sweetness of Choco Break disappeared in my mouth. After that passionate semester, Jasmine never returned to the university, I never heard from her again, she had vanished like the delicious Choco Break. The only thing that remained of her was that sublime moment of that kiss and the taste of the Choco Break that became one of my favorites.

Excellent day.
The love shouldn't have ended like that😭😭. Jasmine had better come back to finish what she started. This is a very beautiful love story. I enjoyed reading it. I just wish Jasmine can come back
