We were going to live our whole lives together

We were going to live our whole lives together
in an eternal embrace under deep skies.
We were going to die all death together,
leaving traces in fertile dreams.

We were going to weave stories of stars,
paint a horizon with beautiful lives.
Farewell is a river that runs indifferent,
a broken promise, an absent future.

Farewell, bitter word, a frightening echo,
a thief in the night, a veil that tightens.
I don't know if you know what goodbye means,
it's the shadow of a love that is no longer me.

Verses of what could have been and was not. Hope lost in time and circumstances that went away with the winter breeze.

Very beautiful kisses that inspire writing.

Thanks for sharing your poem.

Excellent Tuesday.
