Just a little exercise at the pen earlier today, perhaps the ones i previously kept here got over-weighed plus there numbers got increased as well, their legs and feet became to thicken and start ditching the concrete floor, ditches and hole everywhere in the pen, absolutely this is not the best. If not mended on time could damage the whole floor.
Moreso, i needed to fix this ASAP as i expect another set of broiler birds this week.
The chicken gathering and exerting pressure on a spot! This is how they start dipping up the floor.
So without no further a'do, i got up to mend the broken floor, i dont think i need any external labour anyways...
I've bought the cement already, and i pack some sand to mix it.
No shovel or spade, but i make use of a hoe
The areas affected are marked out, so that none would be omitted
After identifying the areas to patch, next is to get down to work.
mixing the sand and the cement in the appropriate proportions.
Might not a professional builder, but i think i mix them well,
Next is to patch the ditches.
In place of plum, i make use of a flat plank for levelling, guess thats pretty good enough.
Boom! The ditch patched and cemented, atleast i don't have to pay for that, i did myself. I'm leaving this for few days to dry while i will wash the whole pen and sanitised the environment.
peace!
