Even if karma is real

Greetings!

Today, being the last Sunday of the year, has been one of my laziest days. I felt utterly useless, finding it so hard to pick up my phone to type out what's on my mind—not that I'm suffering from writer's block. It's so difficult to settle and write a reasonable article. Yes, the days I don't write, I consider them as lazy days 😅

Around 8:00 pm, I was seated outside with a neighbor. As we talked, he narrated a situation he once experienced and ended it by saying, "Karma will fight the girl." I laughed and responded that karma is not real, and even if it is, it wouldn’t apply to such a situation.

Wondering what the situation is?

He said there’s a guy who had a girlfriend he invested a lot in. Even during the relationship, the girl was openly cheating on him. The guy caught her several times, and when he tried to call her to order, she refused to change. Eventually, when he couldn’t bear her behavior anymore, he ended the relationship. The girl happily moved on without any remorse, leaving the guy in pain because he had invested a lot of time, effort, and resources into the relationship. According to my neighbor, karma would definitely fight the girl for what she did.

I didn’t agree with him because I’ve seen people do worse than this girl and still end up marrying responsible partners, living happily ever after. Life is not a movie. We had this argument at length, he gave many instances which I didn't doubt the occurrences but in a situation like this, I can never concur that karma would happen.

Do you think karma will take action in such a situation?

Thanks for reading.
