Not Perfect, But Progress

My 100th Post of the year.

I am not sure if this post is going to see the light of the day, But If I am able to get myself to complete this Its going to the 100th post of the Year. Thats 5x of the previous year and a big win for me. But everything depends on my ability to get off of my lazy chair and finish this post.

Now before I start with my negative rambling. I have to say.
This year wasn’t about chasing rewards or trending posts. It was about hitting the resolution. There were days when I had nothing meaningful to say. Days when work drained everything out of me. Days when it felt easier to scroll than to write. And I never posted on those days. Except for in the month of Feb2025. Damn that Monthly writing challenge is no joke. Having to show up everyday with content is no easy task. But with determination and bending a rules a bit to meet the goal half way worked.

I mean I never specified what type of content I will be posting in that Monthly challenge and I ended posting everything I can think of.. Personal stories, Finance and money, Movies, series, games, contest and everything that there is. Jeezz, what a mess my post timeline is. Well its not like never tried to organise this. But I failed in previous attempts. Like How I use to have motivational Monday, GameNights, MovieNights for Friday, Thoughtful Thursdays.. and what not but after a while everything got mixed up and I ended up with Kichidi everyday (No hate for Kichidi, I love that dish and its kinda my comfort food, I still dont understand why everyone refer to kichidi as a mess. But just for the sake of the post will be using kichidi.. Moving on.) and later kichidi sometime.

Whatever the case may be, I think it's high time that I bring a little professionalism to my post and stop whining after all, I am now at 5K HP and should inspire others to achieve this faster.
So let's draft a plan and stick to it this time with a clear goal in mind.
Now with the Hive sort of doing a cliff diving, I dont think it's wise to keep Hive as a goal for my 2026 journey. So since I completed 100 posts this year, let's double it and give to the next year. Next Year 200 Posts, well structured and theme-based.
Let's bring back…

  • Motivational Monday is obviously on Mondays
  • Money Talks on Tuesdays
  • Game Night / Contest on Wednesdays
  • Thoughtful Thursdays
  • Imagination/ Creative Fridays
  • Screen Review Saturday
  • A Lazy Sunday Post (Just to add a buffer)

Now I know I am going to be missing a lot of these days. But that's the point. As per the calculation, 200 posts in a Year means just under 4 posts a week. That's not bad, actually. In fact, I was able to hit that target multiple times last year. Now the real challenge is to be able to hit that target with consistency.
So, yeah.. I am back to my old New Year's resolution. That is to be consistent with my work here on Hive, ignoring the submarine Hive is riding right now and all the dramas. The focus is to put good quality content 4 times a week. And sticking to the schedule. If I could reach 100 posts this year, 200 isn’t a fantasy.

I’m thankful for all the readers who stopped by, people who supported and communities that helped me a lot through the resolution chase. I am hoping that by continuing this path, I will be able to give back to the Hive ecosystem.
As always, a Big thank you to the IU and BeAwesome communities for their love and support.

I still recommend strongly AGAINST daily posting unless you're journalling/freewriting where editing is optional as burnout is way too easy XD

At least you're not being overly strict with it which is a sensible way to go about it :) Good luck with the resolution next year!

But But But...

Personal stories, Finance and money, Movies, series, games, contest and everything that there is. Jeezz, what a mess my post timeline is.

...Why you think your timeline is a mess when not sticking to a routine of content for a week? I know the rules of the game for normal social media, to attract followers, one need to find a topic and stick to it. But that I find soooo boring! When you see my timeline, you see I am all over the place in topic/content universe. Not sure if my followers like it, but I do. Honestly, my advice to you is, to not be strict on routine. Write what you like. Perhaps note the topics and 'summary' whenever you think about something you like to write about, until you can actually write up the post. Something I do, most of the time, ending up with a list of hundreds of ideas. Must admit, generally I don't take a note of this list, since every day I think of a few topics that I like to write about, therefore never short of ideas :)

Anyways, I wish you all the success - and foremost pleasure - when going for the 200 posts for 2026.
