Introduction

Great day hivers, it is my pleasure to share with you how I joined #Hive almost 2 years ago precisely October 2022. Each time we remember how we started a journey and where we are right now, it helps us to remain on the right track of the journey. For my friends @precious-01, @marajah, here is the link of this contest for you and your friends to join. It a timely reminder for our purpose on this blockchain. Before I bore you with so many things let's go to main point.

How I joined Hive

I heard about Hive in 2020 while I was prospecting someone to join steemit. Then I was introduced to steemit. A young Man Ubong by name approached me and asked, have you heard about Hive blockchain? I said no, he said it is better than steemit. I didn't want him to distract what I was doing so I told him I will love to more later and we exchanged contact, but unfortunately, he had no time for me to see him for more explanation of what Hive was all about.

I started making research about Hive but could not login in. I read some post made in #leofinance, 3peakD then but couldn't comment. I loved what I was reading but couldn't get any one for direction. One thing that I attracted me was web-3 blockchain. That took me to reading much about web-3 technology and it was mind blowing.

It was to me like the first time I left my country Nigeria to Dubai. It was a different environment entirely, so beautiful, well organized, so many things to make life happy was in the city. comparing it was like imagining what does not exist. There was so much to learn. That was how I felt while reading about web-3 blockchain and how it will help the masses.I never knew that someone I know and trust knew about it and will tell me about it and teach me how to write on hive.

I was super excited On August 2022, when @fokusnow called me and told me about Hive blockchain, since I have heard about it before, I seized the opportunity to know more about it. He invited me over to his state, although it's far from my state, I traveled to meet him. It was one of the best message I received in 2022. We did a lot of comparison why web3 is better than web2. What web-3 can offer which cannot be found in web-2.

After that, I decided that I will join hive but not only me. I told friends and my family about Hive and some of them joined Hive with us and today So many of them are still active on hive . Others because of one challenge or the other are not really active but one thing is sure on Hive, even if you stop today and when you are through with challenging situation, your Hive friends are there for you to encourage and to help you stand again.

I remembered when I lost my sister in-law and my mother in-law, I wasn't active on hive again for some months. It was really hard on me that I hardly remember what to write or the willingness to write. It was a friend on hive that called me to say, @ijelady, you can join contest, I know you can, just make up your mind and start, you will see yourself writing again. It wasn't easy but I tried and today I'm still active on hive.

As you write and engage on hive, you will read a lot super stories about others who have overcome serious health challenges or death of a loved one and they are still thriving, that becomes an encouragement to you. I love hive and will continue to do my best to contribute value to the chain.Since then I had been doing my best on the chain.

My experience on Hive

It has been good journey since then. It is said the nothing good comes easy. Hive is not different from any other great business one can think of. On hive, you are an independent CEO. You decide how many hours you will give to hive and how you will socialize with others. Hive has people from different ethnic groups, languages and lines. The more you engage on their post, the more you know them. Hive have brought to me so many quality friends who are determined to succeed and to help others too to succeed.

My love for reading and writing has improved, self development and discipline is sure on hive, developing skills on art, most importantly hive has thought me what crypto world really is and how to invest wisely. Before now, I have invested in so many shit coins that are still lying lifeless in my Trust wallet . If yesterday was today with what I know now, I would have researched before investing. Hive so much in store that in the next decade, one cannot go round communities on Hive.

Conclusion

It is a great privilege to me to be on hive and I believe it's like that to you who is reading this post to this last part of it. Hive is a blessing in disguise. Hive is a big family for all hivers. If you are hive, it means all your family members have benefited from Hive. Hive have put smile on my face and that if others. Hive have created millionaires. Hive is creating wealth and prosperity. Stay on hive and bring others because we need hive as HIVE need us.
