Embracing Emptiness: The Importance of Alone Time in a World Full of Distractions

in Indiaunited2 years ago

maybe you do feel like you are full of people around you but in the end, you do have to sleep alone at night (only if you are not in a relationship or married). You will surely remember what you have done the entire day, whether it is wrong or good. I do try to memorize that, not sure about you. I am kind of used to making my phone to the bed I guess most of us do the same but this is not really a good thing for sure. we all are kind of used to it. Without phones, we do feel a bit of emptiness.

The thing is we are not used to staying alone, we do need anything with us other it's a laptop or our smartphone. It doesn't matter where you go things seem to be the same everyone is busy with their own world that is inside their world. It is really hard to sleep at night if you have an internet connection and you have your smartphone in your hand. This did happen to me a lot of times. I did forget to sleep if I am scrolling my phone if there is no battery system then I am sure we do spend our entire day in front of the screens.

last night I was listing a story of Lord Gautam budda when I learned a new thing "those who do love to enjoy their emptiness/loneliness they do know themselves better".
Most of us do feel very staring alone the emptiness starts eating us. most of us can't even deal with it we do need something to get rid of that.

I don't have to go too far to look for that type of person my elder brother is one of them he used to talk a lot, he speaks in his sleep too (that is kind of strange too), sometimes he speaks the words what he said on that entire day. If he is alone at home he will start calling anyone yes I mean literally anyone (even if he doesn't have anything to do with that call just random).

I am sure he is not a lot like that, I don't talk that much but I do try my best to escape my loneliness do prefer to watch anime or watch any movie. If I did get bored by all that sure I will be in my bed. It did feel good after sleeping for a while we do forget about all the things around us but after a few seconds or minutes we are back I do start looking for my start phone.
Oh, shit the battery is down let's charge it, till then I will have my cup of tea. the worst part is that when you came after half an hour and you did realize that the button was off. I am sure we all have done this at least once.

see you in the next post, till then keep learning and keep exploring...

Very insightful writing. I can relate with that. Electronic devices surrounded us badly. Its to make a alone time. Always there is something we are finding in the phone.
Thanks for sharing with us ❤

The thing is we are not used to staying alone, we do need anything with us other it's a laptop or our smartphone.

I can agree on this one - as I monitor the onscreen time that I have per week I spend around 10 to 12 hours using my mobile device. Subtracting the hours of sleep which is around 7 a day I spend 5 hours or more not having my device with me ( probably I am at work or eating or doing some groceries)

It is important as well to have our "me" time without those devices. I try to limit them during weekends as I need to spend more time on important stuff and oh boy! therapeutic indeed. At times I look forward on weekends as I am not using my gadgets and spend time cooking or reading some books that I wasn't able to finish too.

Without phones, we do feel a bit of emptiness.

It's true that without smartphones we feel a little bit emptiness but in my case for an unknown reason I love to enjoy such kind of time. I don't know why?.

"those who do love to enjoy their emptiness/loneliness they do know themselves better"

I agree with this statement.

Hahaha mate I also forget to on the switch of the charging plug many time. at that time I was feeling angry as well as I was laughing on my foolishness.

We are currently in a space where we no longer go online, it's as though we now live there. I mean thinking about it, it's the only place we can ever feel fully safe, especially for introverts.

The internet knows know one, yet interacts with everyone. This is kinda ironic, but I feel it's why it's seen as a safe space.

No intruder or anyone who will make you feel less of who you are. I am 100% free when my phone is in my hand.

Great read..
