RE: Web2 walled gardens

in HivePoshyesterday (edited)

If X/Twitter is as bad as it is with these charges and difficulties, imagine here in Brazil, where X has been blocked since August 31st? It's complicated the moment we're living in, we already have very few active Brazilians and X was the easiest way to try to get an inleo curation for example, not that we have other sources, but it was the quickest and easiest way to share everything about Hive on the web2.

Anyway, we're trying to keep our friends here active and motivated to post, even though the current government of Brazil always plays against its people, we're trying not to lose any more people, while the onboards, we try at all costs to also bring in new people, but X was our best option in my opinion.

About your attempts to reward those who are trying to do something outside of hive, I've been sharing a bit about Hive both on my Instagram and in the Threads (from meta), waiting for X to come back. These are difficult times, but united we can win! Big hugs.

I'd suggest looking into reddit next, while it won't affect curation directly at this point in time, we may start some additional initiatives where we upvote/reward posts that get a lot of verified traffic from the outside. And you can always earn some rewards just by sharing any post of any author on there.

I've never used reddit much, I even created an account and linked everything correctly, but I didn't really adapt well to the platform, but nothing that a little study can't solve, I'll try to start using it more, thanks for the tip!
