Read A Book In 10 Mins With Chat GPT!

Personally, I hate reading books. They bore me to death. I feel that most of them run around in circles to prove one single point and that deviates me from the point itself. Moreover, I have a busy schedule that doesn't allow me to spend days reading one book only to find out that it doesn't work for me or make sense to me.

So, I found this brilliant hack on Instagram to use Chat GPT to read books quickly. Please note that it's not a supplement to reading the whole book but who cares man. 😂

I use it to go through books that:

  • I don't want or have time to read
  • I don't want to buy 🤑
  • I want to buy but not without going through its summary

Do This

For this blog, I am taking an example from one of my favorite books, The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel.

[1] Go to chat GPT and enter the following prompt:

Write me a detailed summary of the book - [Insert Book Name]
or
Write me a chapter-wise summary of the book - [Insert Book Name]

BOOM!!!

Now you have the complete summary of the book containing all the juicy points you must pay attention to. You can ask Chat GPT to explain these points with examples if you want to go deeper.

[2] Let's go ahead one step further and enter the following prompt:

Write 10 key lessons from the book - [Insert Book Name]

...and BOOM!!!

[3] One more step, enter this prompt:

Rewrite each lesson under 20 words

BOOM!!!

[4] This is a bonus step. You can skip it if you want to. Go to Canva and create a poster of the top 10 lessons from your favorite book. Print it and hang it on your wall. xD

Not financial advice. For infotainment purposes only.

I've been doing this also with articles I find on the internet. A great way to just find 3 key points from news articles and move through them quickly

Great tip. I think chat got has lost some of its luster though with everything users have tried and publicized. Not to mention how scared everyone is of it and then there are those who punish the user...

Creativity can only die when man stops thinking. AI is just a tool atm. Try thinking more along the lines of Data from Star Trek...

Thanks a ton mate. I love how these AI tools save me a lot of time. I have all the knowledge in the world at my fingertips. Now it's upto me how I want to use it.

I contemplated learning how to creat static characters with stable diffusion but I came across a video on you that had copyright office rules for AI art.

Let's just say it is not considered copyright but public domain. 😔😔😔

If you hate reading books, perhaps you are reading the wrong books.
In my opinion, a book that can be summarized is not worth to be read.

Maybe that's right. I hardly like any book worth reading in full. Be it fiction or non-fiction.

I wait for the movie

I think it's quite nice to see this but I also remember there being services that would turn the text into words that you can listen to. I prefer this summary version though because it saves me time though.

True. I like audiobooks and watching videos. But sometimes I like to read the summary not the whole book. 🔥
