No, I don't have an owl as a pet, don't envy me. He is not really anyone's pet, but he is still very friendly with people.
We met years ago at an exhibition for birds, which was visiting Burgas. The owl is accustomed to humans and even allows it to be petted, but it will take some time to gain its trust.
His name is Albert. This beautiful owl was not actually born in Bulgaria, but in England. He was rescued after falling from his nest and was found by good people who handed him over to an organization that deals with injured birds. After he was healed of his injuries, it turned out that he could not be returned to nature.
Therefore, it was given to a specialized center that deals with the training of birds. The owl had a very special fate, as for many years it was part of the therapy of children with disabilities who found a friend in his face.
It is currently part of a traveling exhibition, along with other birds.
Here is another one, but not so friendly.
Helps you out like an angel, but looks at you like a disappointed father lol.
