Meet Puti, Taba and Yatot

in Hive Petslast year

It is not really in my interest to take care of numerous cats. For me, it is an additional obligation and further difficult than taking care of a real child. So even though I find them so endearing, I still limit my attachments to these types of domestic pets. It's just as hard to let go of animals like this. Given that they only last a few years, I don't want to feel a lot of heartache if they ever disappear. So for now, I'm just letting other people take care of these types of animals. As I said, my obligation as a fur parent is also demanding since it requires a lot of effort and even money. Their food is even more expensive than a kilo of rice. My temperament here is that when taking care of this kind of animal, I want the one that doesn't go against my will to just adopt them or just have no choice because they are adorable. For me, they deserve a home. Where they fit to live.

Anyway, here are some of the cats that I see every day every time I take my son to school. It's funny because they seem to know me already, and they themselves approach me. At first, I even brought them the same catfood that our domestic cat, Simba, also eats. But because I didn't want them to follow me to my house, I stopped giving them food. But the behavior of these cats has not changed. Whenever they see me, they still approach me spontaneously. Because of that, I decided to give them a name.

This is Puti, from the word itself, it means white. He looks dirty, but his skin color is really beautiful. The color of his forehead and ears is black and the color of his eyes is gold. The only thing I don't like about this cat is that he gets furious by people. He will approach you, but he doesn't want to be touched.

This is Taba, which means chubby. It is obvious that he is very fat and does not seem to be hungry. He looks like our cat Simba at home, but Taba is overweight. What I don't like about him is his tendency to scratch people too. There was a time when I tried to load him, and he just scratched me. Because of that, I didn't pick them up anymore. It's scary because I'm not sure if these cats have rabies.

The last one is Yatot, which comes from the word 'payatot' which means very underweight. I am not sure if this Yatot has an owner because he is a very malnourished cat. How I wish I could bring him home to our house but I really don't want to take care of a cat apart from Simba because of other personal reasons. This Yatot is kind and gentle. He will really follow you until you get home, but it's weird because he never entered our house unlike other cats that I've brought food to before.

I really hope that I buy a lot of cat food for them. But my funds and even my time for taking care of them are limited. However, I am very thankful that these cats are still alive even though they are just wandering the streets. I believe there are probably still many people helping them. As far as I know, the cat population is increasing, and sad to say, many people still breed ordinary cats with purebred domestic cats. Some people were not aware that illegal breeding of these animals is harmful and prone to genetic health problems, but they are still thinking about money. This doesn't only happen to cats; the last time I visited a market, I also saw many ordinary dogs that had been bred into purebred dogs.

It makes me cry to think about this kind of animal cruelty that people do, so this is one of the reasons why I don't want to keep many animals at home. To my fellow fur-at-heart hoomans, please take good care of your domestic pets and treat them like members of the family and don't turn their breeds into a business.

Wheww! I so feel you. How cute these pets are sis. I never knew you are a pet lover too until I realized you have these awesome friends there. Best regards and have a nice time!

We have a dog in our house as well sissy. I love these aniMals so much but I don't have the financial stability to adopt.

This is an interesting read. I don't keep any pet at Home and I don't think I know a lot about pets, but it was very enlightening to read your post which is filled with genuine concern for these cats and their well-being.

It's also very interesting to see the name you gave them and the meaning attached to each of the names. Haha. Now, I want to know why your domestic cat is named Simba.

It's probably as courageous as the Simba we all know from Lion King. Haha.

Hahahaa yes, we have here Simba. Same with Taba, he is also chubby and 30 inch long.
