RE: A Tragedy That Could Have Been Prevented

in Hive Pets19 days ago

Wow what tragedy. I didn't know about this or the circumstances in which I happen. My youngest daughter is 7 years of age and I just don't even want to imagine anything like that ever happening to her, it's horrific to just think about it.
I have two dogs and I made sure to explain to my girls the difference between us and dogs. How they have certain natural instincts, how they think completely differently to us and how we should respect them and listen to them. Also about giving them space. Also about the pack mentality that can happen as well, when dogs get together, it is really sad if this young girl did not know this.
What a tragedy though for the girls and the dogs. xx

It is a tragedy. I don't have children, but I don't want to imagine something like this happening to a child, and I can certainly imagine that this tragedy will haunt the mother for the rest of her life. It is a horrible event. But the worst part is that it could have been prevented. In my eyes, it is a real human error that caused a fatal outcome, both for the child and for five healthy dogs. And the dogs can't help it ... as a dog lover, I find that horrible.
