How good it is when the morning starts with a pleasant surprise. Today our squirrel CryptoNut and his friend received such a surprise. I must say that CryptoNut loves cookies very much.
However, it is unlikely that cookies can be considered a healthy food for squirrels, so I don't give them such treats too often. But one day an idea came to me. We need to buy not just cookies, but cookies for animals! The recipe of such cookies is specially made so that it does not contain harmful substances. Then I bought cookies for dogs. Of course, there are special treats for rodents in pet supplies, but in this case I don't trust them too much. Most of them contain preservatives and dyes that can be dangerous. That's why I chose the simplest product.
The squirrels were happy! They immediately grabbed the cookie and started chewing it. It should also be added that this dog liver is a little harder than ordinary cookies for people. But the squirrels coped with it easily.
I didn't know that there special cookies made for animals :)
Awesome and wow wowow, look at those little guys gobble down their treat! It's so heartwarming to see CryptoNut and his friend enjoying their special cookies (not for me because that technically hard). I can only imagine their excitement when they saw those treats!
You know, I've always wondered about giving squirrels human food (an Oreo dip in milk, hahaha). It's great that you thought to get doggy cookies instead. That's a much safer option than regular hooooman cookies, which are probably loaded with sugar and other unhealthy stuff. It's reassuring to know you're looking out for their well-being.
It's amazing how adaptable these little guys are. They seem to have no trouble tackling those slightly harder dog cookies! It just goes to show how resourceful they are.
I bet CryptoNut and his friend will be talking about this cookie feast for days! It's a great reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can bring a lot of joy. Thanks for sharing this heartwarming story and those adorable pictures!
