Meet Lemon: My shy little cat

Hello Hivers Namaste from India. Today I would like to introduce you to my Lemon. Lemon is 6 months old and is a shy cat. Lemon does not like to stay on the lap, but sometimes, when we go out for some time, when we come back, she comes in the lap on her own. Then, within a minute, Lemon gets down again.

She likes to sit at the gate and balcony and watch people and cars go by. She loves our kitchen garden and sits with the plants for a long time, sometimes sleeps in the flower pots. She enjoys eating the lemongrass we have at home, and she smells the plants and flowers as if she is inspecting them.

Her funniest habit is to hide, and then when we look for her, she walks upright, showing us her fur and body. And then when we hide, she looks for us. For the last three days, she has been playing with a piece of paper and keeps it with her wherever she goes.

Lemon's favorite food is fish. Once, when we took her with us to our village, my father gave her a whole fish to eat. Instead of eating it, she ran away and hid because she was scared of the fish. We usually prepare her food at home, and during travel, we give her dry food.

It’s winter where we live, and she loves to sleep in the sun. She makes a lot of purring noises when I comb her hair. Sometimes, while I am combing, she bites my hand, but she knows how much pressure to use. It is always a gentle bite.

In the beginning, Lemon would often sleep quietly in such a place that it took us a long time to find her. Now she knows that her name is Lemon, and she comes running as soon as we call her.
