Saludos amigos!!!
Greetings, friends!
Roko woke up with one of his paws irritated. We were very concerned because we know how delicate these types of skin injuries are for our pets, as they can quickly become infected. We called the vet, who prescribed cream for the irritated area and antibiotics, and told us to check for any bleeding wounds. We checked him and, thank God, there were none; it was just superficial inflammation. We gave Roko the antibiotics and applied the cream, but of course he wanted to remove it and wouldn't stop licking it, so the treatment wasn't going to work. Then we remembered those collars they make for dogs to stop them scratching. We watched some tutorials and went to make him an improvised collar.
We watched several tutorials, gathered the materials, and proceeded to make the Elizabethan collar. Hey, I didn't know that's what it's called, and I understood why, remembering Queen Elizabeth. When we finished the collar, we put it on him, but here's the thing: Roko felt overwhelmed, he even got upset because he thought it was some kind of punishment. Well, we put it on him intermittently while the cream penetrated his skin. Thank God it helped a lot, because by nightfall the inflammation had gone down quite a bit. Well, for the well-being of our pets, we become very creative, because when they are sick, we suffer a lot. They are so helpless that it makes us look for solutions everywhere. Thank God Roko is fine with his injury.
