Oh my God!
Reading your post and understanding how hard it is and being very worried about Molly, I skipped the rest of the text and found the end of the post.
After reading and calming down that everything is fine with Molly, I again returned to the beginning of the post and read it in full.
I fully felt your condition, since one time our dog ran away, as we walked with her without a leash.
At that time, my late husband was walking with him.
He returned without him and then the two of us went to look for him.
Panic, horror, fear, pain that cannot be dealt with!!!
We found him on the beach where he was running with a girl (dog).
After that, without a leash, we did not walk with him!
Health Molly and my love to her!
I'm glad your story had a happy ending too! Yes it really sucks when we lose our for babies and have to track them down in a hurry before something bad happens or they go off to far. It's even worse when it's pitch black out and you can't see anything. If she was a bigger dog I guess I would be able to see her better but then again she would move a lot quicker and I may lose her faster. Luckily that wasn't the case and she found her way home! We will be taking her out on a leash or walking next to her next time she has to go out so late at night.
I think it wouldn't hurt if she had a glow-in-the-dark collar with your phone number on it.
GOOD IDEA!!! 😊
