Hello hivers! Hi Hive Pets! Recently, I discovered this wonderful group and people share their love, journey and stories with their pets. Our family happens to adopt a dog recently which made me think that it would be nice to share our story as my first post in this community. So, without a further ado, dive in and I'll show you.
Around 6 in the morning of 28th day of January 2021, a loud bark echoed in our room and I opened my eyes for a bit and close once more. On 27th, my father asked us if we want to adopt a dog. My siblings and I immediately said yes and were really giddy about the thought of having a dog.
Way back on 2010, we adopted a dog named Daisy. I was only 10 years old at that time and our whole family really loves her. She's half Dachschund and half Labrador but then she died in October 2017. It really broke our hearts and took us a long time to adjust from that unfortunate situation. Everytime we eat, we tend to gather some bones and prepare her food to feed for her and then we suddenly remember that she's dead. We started to reminisce some memories with her like how we play and walk with her. We are too young when she came so we were so attached to her and never thought that we will adopt a dog again.
Fast forward, now we have this 3 month old not so puppy looking dog named Bowie who was born on November 10, 2020. He is half German Shepherd and half Labrador which means that he has a big build. They have the same color with our previous dog which is black. One thing that I like and hate about him is that he is super energetic which means he loves to play all the time.
He loves dog food and rice. He also loves to play and drink water. He likes to get some rubs in his tummy and face especially his neck part. I personally allot few minutes every afternoon to walk him and play with him. As much as I want to be always beside him, I cannot because I have my online classes and he is a bit noisy.
Bowie doesn't love camera. I wasn't able to get a lot of photos from him because he would go away or move every time I want to. But above all, I hope he finds us as his new home.
