Hello friends of Hive Pet, today I want to write about a situation that is happening and that worries me a lot. I don't know if any of you have gone through something similar.
About a month ago the oldest kitten in the house, Kiba, passed away.
He started showing behavioral problems and didn't want to feed anymore, so I took him to the vet who sent me for some tests. The next day, with the tests in hand, he couldn't tell me what was wrong.
Distressed by the incompetence of the first vet, I took him to a second clinic. They reviewed the tests and told me he had a very serious kidney problem.

We treated him for 3 days, which consisted of intravenous fluids for the advanced dehydration he was suffering from and to clean out his kidneys. We fought and spent the necessary money, but unfortunately he had no improvement.
I was told that nothing could be done, it was a terminal stage, that I had to decide if he would continue to live in this horrible way with pain until he died naturally or opt for Euthanasia.

I had a hard time deciding, but I put myself in his place, he was screaming in pain and his face was different. He was no longer my usual grandpa Kiba, he had lost a lot of weight, he could no longer eat or drink water. Then I called a veterinarian to visit him at home, he went away as if in a deep and endless sleep.

Hola amigos de Hive Pet, hoy quiero escribir sobre una situación que está pasando y que me preocupa mucho. No sé si alguno de vosotros ha pasado por algo similar.
Hace aproximadamente un mes falleció el gatito más viejo de la casa, Kiba.
Empezó a mostrar problemas de comportamiento y no quería alimentarse más, así que lo llevé al veterinario que me mandó a hacerle exámenes. Al día siguiente, con las pruebas en la mano, no pudo decirme qué le pasaba.
Angustiada por la incompetencia del primer veterinario, lo llevé a una segunda clínica. Revisaron los exámenes y me dijeron que tenía un problema renal muy grave.
Lo tratamos durante 3 días, que consistieron en líquidos intravenosos para la deshidratación avanzada que sufría y para limpiar sus riñones. Luchamos y gastamos el dinero necesario, pero desgraciadamente no tuvo ninguna mejora.
Me dijeron que no se podía hacer nada, que estaba en fase terminal, que tenía que decidir si seguiría viviendo de esta forma tan horrible con dolor hasta que muriera de forma natural u optar por la Eutanasia.
Me costó decidirme, pero me puse en su lugar, gritaba de dolor y su rostro era diferente. Ya no era mi abuelo Kiba de siempre, había perdido mucho peso, ya no podía comer ni beber agua. Entonces llamé a un veterinario para que lo visitara en casa, se fue como en un sueño profundo e interminable.

Grandfather Kiba had a companion named Negro. They ate, slept and drank water together.
But Negro was always the dominant one, he was very mean to Kiba. However, they were never separated from each other.
Since he left, Negrito has changed, he is much more solitary. He is not the same cat as before and that worries me, because animals when they are depressed like that start to get sick.
At the vet's suggestion I had to do some tests to rule out that he didn't have the same disease as Kiba. The results were negative, his physical health is fine but....

El abuelo Kiba tenía un compañero llamado Negro. Comían, dormían y bebían agua juntos.
Pero Negro era siempre el dominante, era muy malo con Kiba. Sin embargo, nunca se separaron el uno del otro.
Desde que se fue, Negrito ha cambiado, es mucho más solitario. No es el mismo gato de antes y eso me preocupa, porque los animales cuando están así deprimidos empiezan a enfermar.
Por sugerencia del veterinario tuve que hacerle unas pruebas para descartar que no tuviera la misma enfermedad que Kiba. Los resultados fueron negativos, su salud física está bien pero....

There is a kitten that I give food to, Chascon I called him, he basically stayed to live in the garden.
We put a house for him, like he was a dog 😅.
Everything was always relatively peaceful when Kiba was still living, but nowadays they fight a lot, seems like Negro is trying to maintain dominance. He knows the age hierarchy of animal behavior, because Negro turned out to be the oldest in the group of the 7 house cats.

I hope this is just a phase and he goes back to his old self, for me this is complicated, I adored my grandfather Kiba and I adore Negro. Who is the last remaining of a generation that once meant so much in my life....
I never thought he would miss so Grandfather 😢.

Hay un gatito al que le doy comida, Chascon lo llamé, básicamente se quedó a vivir en el jardín.
Le pusimos una casa, como si fuera un perro 😅.
Todo fue siempre relativamente pacífico cuando aún vivía Kiba, pero hoy en día se pelean mucho, parece que Negrito intenta mantener el dominio. Conoce la jerarquía de edad del comportamiento animal, porque Negro es el más viejo del grupo de los 7 gatos de la casa.
Espero que esto sea solo una fase y vuelva a ser el de antes, para mi esto es complicado, adoraba a mi abuelo Kiba y adoro a Negro. Que es el último que queda de una generación que una vez significó tanto en mi vida....
Nunca pensé que el extrañaria tanto al abuelo 😢
