As some of you know, I own a couple of cats and several chickens, plus I have had other cats for many years, so I have experience taking care of these cute little furballs that captivate us so much.

You see, recently a neighbor went on a trip to the capital and for obvious reasons she couldn't take her little pet named Flay, yes, that's her name.

So before she left she left me in charge of taking care of her. She didn't leave me the keys to the house, so I only enter the house when another friend, to whom she did leave them, goes to the house; however, she left the window open for the cat to go out and enter quietly, so I go to visit her several times a day, every day, because she knows me, Flay is my friend.

Como bien saben algunos, soy dueño de un par de gatos y varias gallinas, además de que he tenido otros gatos durante muchos años, así que tengo experiencia cuidando a estas simpáticas bolas de pelos que tanto nos cautivan.

Verán, hace poco una vecina se fue de viaje a la capital y por obvias razones no se podría llevar a su pequeña mascota llamada Flay, sí, así se llama.

Así que antes de irse me dejó encargado de cuidarla. No me dejó las llaves de la casa, así que solo entro a la casa cuando otro amigo, a quien sí se las dejó, va a la casa; sin embargo, le dejó la ventana abierta a la gata para que salga y entre tranquilamente, así que voy a visitarla varias veces al día, todos los días, porque me conoce, Flay es mi amiga.

Today the person she left the key with went to my neighbor's house, so I took the opportunity and went in with him to help him fix some things and also to play with Flay.

She is usually very playful so as soon as she saw me, she jumped on me to make him cuddle. I was crouched down so as soon as she could, she climbed on my leg. Then we went into the house and as soon as I called her, she came to me.

Hoy fue a la casa de mi vecina la persona a la que ella le dejó la llave, así que aproveché y entré con él para ayudarlo a arreglar algunas cosas y también a jugar con Flay.

Ella suele ser muy juguetona así que apenas me vio, se me encimó para que le hiciera cariño. Yo estaba agachado así que apenas pudo, se me subió a una pierna. Ya después entramos a la casa y apenas la llamé, vino hacia mi.

Once inside the house she jumped all over the place, it is evident that she was excited to have visitors, because she spends most of the day alone, except for the times I go to visit her from the window of her house, because yes, that cat is the owner of that house.

She walked around all the things where I was walking, she even climbed on a chair where there was a towel and started rubbing herself on the towel and then turned to me, apparently she wanted me to make her love so I gave her her respective cuddles.

Una vez dentro de la casa saltaba por todos lados, es evidente que estaba emocionada por tener visitas, pues casi todo el día se la pasa sola, salvo las veces que voy a visitarla desde la ventana de su casa, porque sí, esa gata es dueña de esa casa.

Se paseó por todas las cosas por donde yo andaba, hasta se subió a una silla en donde estaba una toalla y empezó a restregarse en la toalla y luego volteaba hacia mi, al parecer quería que le hiciera cariño así que le di sus respectivos mimos.

On the other hand, I also bought her a bag of cat food, but I don't leave it there in that house, because otherwise she would eat it all in one day, that cat suffers from Gluttony.

So I take the bag of cat food with me every time I go to visit her and serve her a portion, just enough to keep her satisfied every time I go.

Por otra parte, también le compré una bolsa de alimento para gatos, pero no se lo dejo ahí en esa casa, porque sino se lo comería todo en un día, esa gata sufre de Gula.

Así que llevo la bolsita de comida para gatos cada vez que voy a visitarla y le sirvo una ración, la suficiente para que quede satisfecha cada vez que voy.

I should clarify that the guy who was left with the key didn't have the key to the yard, so I couldn't go get the kitty's food bowl, so since I've been taking care of her I've been giving her water and food in butter containers, which are just a good measure for her to eat.

Although sometimes the kitty gets a little silly and flips the container over from running too fast to eat, things happen.

Debo aclarar que al muchacho al que le dejaron la llave no tenía la llave del patio, así que no pude ir a buscar el comedero de la gatita, así que desde que la estoy cuidando le he dado agua y comida en envases de mantequilla, que son justo una buena medida para que coma.

Aunque a veces la gatita se pone un poco tonta y voltea el envase por correr muy rápido a comer, cosas que pasan.

This is a lovely kitty, I hope she won't get into trouble for being alone, although I am very attentive to her.

The other day she came to the house, looking for me, but my cat Tchalla is very territorial and chased her away, so she left. That's why I'm the one who has to visit her at home to give her food and the love she needs, while her owners arrive from their trip.

Esta es una gatita encantadora, espero que no se vaya a meter en problemas por estar sola, aunque estoy muy pendiente de ella.

El otro día llegó a la casa, buscándome, pero mis gata Tchalla es muy territorial y la ahuyentó, así que se fue. Por eso soy yo el que tiene que ir a visitarla a su casa para darle comida y el cariño que necesita, mientras llegan sus dueños de viaje.
