Mi gato se ha perdido! fue lo que pense al no ver a mi gatito Mashka por dos días. Ya es un gato adulto y siempre sale y entra a la casa de madrugada asi que después de hacer su vida nocturna acostumbra dormir toda la mañana en la sala.
Pero esa mañana no estaba en la sala.. y llego la tarde y luego la noche.. No llegaba mi Mashka.. La tristeza me invadio, pensaba que a mi gatito le habian pasado algo malo. Llegó el día siguiente y tampoco habia regresado, nadie lo había visto, llegó nuevamente la noche y solo quedaba pedirle a Dios que le ayudara a regresar.
Esa noche mi hijo me preguntó porque Mashka no regresaba y mientras hablabamos en la sala.. Un maullido conocido!! Era Mashka! Al abrir la puerta entró rápido hacia su comida y su agua, estaba hambriento. No tenia signos de maltrato gracias a Dios.
Imagino que muchos de ustedes si son dueños de un gato estaran familiarizados con experiencias similares, sin embargo era la primera vez que me sucedía y mi gato es bastate hogareño. A raiz de esta experiencia comencé a investigar por qué los gatos se desaparecen por días, encontre varias causas y dos formas de reducir esta situación, por lo que les comparto para los que aún no saben bien porque sucede esto con nuestros mininos.
La primera causa de que un gato macho adulto se pierda por unos días es que esten sintiendo el olor de las feromonas de una gata en celo,en este caso nuestro gato comenzará a dar maullidos particulares y echara a andar en busca del rastro de esta gata, lo cual puede ocasionar que cuando se de cuenta ya se encuentre en un lugar desconocido extraviandose y dificultando su vuelta a casa.
La segunda causa pudiera ser que se hayan asustado mucho (por ejemplo por un perro persiguiendolo) por algo que le haga echar a correr tanto que al poder parar ya no reconozca el lugar donde se encuentra
La tercera causa es que no se este sintiendo muy a gusto con nosotros y encuentre otro lugar mas agradable, mas tranquilo o con comida que le guste mas a él, incluso se han descubierto casos de felinos que tienen dos familias sin que una sepa de la otra.
Estas son las causas más comunes por las que nuestros gatitos desaparecen por algunos días, una de las formas de reducir sus salidas a la calle y ganas de buscar pareja es esterilizandolos (opción con la que no estoy muy de acuerdo ya que pienso que ellos tienen derecho a tener una vida gatuna normal y reproducirse, aparte del malestar que puedan sentir en esa operaión) y la segunda es poporcionarle un ambiente tranquilo donde siemre onsiga su alimento, cariño y algun juguete que pueda servir de distracción.
Si adoptamos un gatico debemos darle cariño y entender que como todo animalito tiene sus instintos, no debemos cuartarle su libertad, sobre todo a los felinos que son tan independientes, entendamoslos y hagamos lo posible para que ellos se sientan bien con nosotros.

These are the most common causes why our kittens disappear for a few days, one of the ways to reduce their outings to the street and desire to find a partner is sterilizing them (option with which I do not agree very much because I think they have the right to have a normal cat life and reproduce, apart from the discomfort they may feel in that operation) and the second is to provide a quiet environment where always onsiga their food, affection and some toy that can serve as a distraction.
If we adopt a kitten we must give it affection and understand that as every animal has its instincts, we must not take away its freedom, especially the felines that are so independent, let's understand them and do our best to make them feel good with us.
