Excellent post! I’m so sorry to hear about Newton, it sounds like his life was far too short. Having a bond like the one you described would make it extra hard to lose him too. I know my cat is pretty dog like too and it makes for one extraordinary cat. I really enjoyed reading about Newton and how he transformed your brother away from disliking animals. My cat has done something similar to my dad and both cat and dad are better off for it.
